Another Alleged Canadian: Muslim Prof Says Calling #CharlieHebdo Massacre “Barbaric” Makes Muslims Look Bad

Karim H. Karim is currently the Director of the Carleton Centre for the Study of Islam. Karim Squared is upset with PM Harper’s entirely accurate description of the Charlie Hebdo massacre as “Barbaric”.

Calling Paris attack ‘barbaric’ evokes anti-Mulsim stereotypes: Carleton prof

“A Carleton University professor said world leaders like Prime Minister Stephen Harper should not describe the deadly attack on a Paris news magazine that killed 12 people Wednesday morning as a “barbaric” act.

Karim H. Karim, a professor at the university’s School of Journalism and Communication the term, said when the word is used to condemn religiously-motivated acts of violence, some religious groups interpret it to mean that they as a whole are barbaric….”

Pro Tip Prof – Islam is a backward barbaric murder cult.

  • Gaylord Ponce

What a moron! Calling them barbaric makes them look bad? NO asshole, the massacre makes them look bad. Sheesh!

    • That’s our media and University class!

      • Observer

Who does this guy think he is, the Red Star’s Haroon Siddiqui?

    • Muslims don’t need any help looking bad. Like a dog turd needs no help smelling bad.

  • AmicusC

islam is barbaric. they should be quarantined back in their own countries or bombed until they give up the death cult.

    • winniec

  • By their fruits you will know them …

    • He is one rotten fruit.

    • Mickey Oberman

Their fruits are all mouldy and rotten.

  • mobuyus

I’m pretty sure being described as barbarians is a badge of honour for the majority of muslims.

    • Many believe Murder for Allah is a sign of devotion.

      • Mickey Oberman

MOST so believe. That is why they remain silent in the face of such barbarism.

        • winniec

To approve of barbarity is to BE a barbarian.

          • tamimisledus

            Extremely well put.
And to worship, allah, the evil sadistic psychopath at the putrid heart of islam is evil.

      • winniec

Duty to Conduct Jihad Separates Real Muslims from Disobedient Ones – Jihad is the litmus test of Islamic Faith

“Allah will not leave the believers in the state in which you are now, until He distinguishes the WICKED from the GOOD) [3:179]. In summary, since Allah legislated Jihad for His servants, He explained that the wisdom behind doing so includes TESTING His servants, distinguishing between those who obey Him and those who disobey Him.” – Tafsir of Surat At-Tawbah (on Koran Chapter 9)
According to this authentic commentary, ‘WICKED’ Muslims do not conduct jihad. ‘GOOD’ Muslims kill disbelievers proving their normative faith in Islam. It isn’t murder when jihadists do it.

      • tamimisledus

According to islam, killing for islam is a moral good and will help gain the muslim his place in the imaginary hereafter.

  • Frau Katze

    Another p.o.s. Muslim

Karim did not say the media should outright ban the publication of the cartoons, but he said there needs to be a context justifying why they be reproduced.

“I would not say never do this,” he said. “I think if we have very strong convictions and we are justified in what we feel we should be doing, then we should do it.”

    • Another Islamist prick in Academia! what a shock!

      • Mickey Oberman

There are enough of them now to form an enormous herd of Islamic
        pork – upines.

        • winniec

There are enough to compromise our freedom of expression through their weasel words.

    • tom_billesley

What better context than their being the pretext for a terrorist murder?

    • Mickey Oberman

The unfortunate birth of Mohammed is more than enough justification.

  • simus1

Ah “Cartoon U” puts their best (Saudi?) subsidized foot forward.
The competing U of Zero still formulating a suitable response?

  • “Heinous” is OK, apparently – just not “barbaric” …

abhorrent abominable atrocious … (and lots more synonyms – but not barbaric)

  • ontario john

And the Toronto Star on its website has the answer to what happened in Paris. Its France’s fault. Yes, its just France’s awful colonial past in North Africa to blame. Nothing to do with islam.

    • Oh I can’t wait.

      • Raymond Hietapakka

It must be a real sick0 environment working at The Star. I wonder if they ever laff over Friday lunch beers at some of their literary bowelszchiddt?

    • Mickey Oberman

The Star like most western media will always find a way to justify Islamic barbarism.

      • tamimisledus

And whenever the true face of islam (CharlieHebdo &c) shows itself in action, the Western media will always find enough lying/ignorant muslim and muslim apologists to mislead the public. These falsely distance islam from these wicked actions, and fool the gullible that muslims have common cause with non-muslims. Of course nothing could be further from the truth. A simple analysis of the koran shows this to be a lie. And of course by the time the gullible wake up, it may well be just too late.

  • Dana Garcia

The “stereotype” of barbaric Muslims is accurate. How much proof do you need?

    • I am always amazed at the capacity certain Muslims have for lying.

      • Raymond Hietapakka

It’s all they have left in their playbook…

      • Mickey Oberman

I would be more surprised of proof that any specific Muslim does not lie.

      • moraywatson

If your bullshit-meter is only detecting lying in “certain muslims” it might need to go in for a tune-up and re-calibration.

At a minimum, if a muslim has not decided to apostasize, they are lying to themselves

      • tamimisledus

One shouldn’t be at all surprised at the capacity of muslims for lying. The whole of islam is a based on the fictions of the koran, the life of mohammad and the history of islamic *civilization* and its supposed successes, but actual failures. And as the old saying goes, one lie will lead to another.
And this capacity for lying is further reinforced by the fact that islam is incoherent, and yet the muslim has to believe that two or many contradictory facts are equally true.

        • moraywatson

The rule of abrogation (sura 2:106) essentially codifies that the concept of truth is meaningless in islam. When this weeks “divine revelation” contradicts the one from 10 years ago, don’t question that allah knows everything including the fact that he knew 10 years ago that he was going to change his mind. That is the logic upon which this sham is built.

          • tamimisledus

Thanks for that useful elaboration of the incoherence of allah’s “message”. It helps to explain why muslims have no difficulty in ignoring any fact which contradicts the myths they believe to be true.

    • winniec

The ‘proof’ of Islam’s barbarity is in their own books: the Sira, hadiths, Koran and authentic, authoritative commentaries of the Islamic consensus.

  • Hard Little Machine

Said the fool who no doubt is an antisemitic nutcase.

  • Veracious_one

Actually, there are plenty of condemnations. Many Muslim organizations worldwide have condemned the Islamic attack. What we don’t see are actual organized efforts by Muslim leaders to teach Muslims to reject the understanding of Islam that the Islamic terrorists use. If all the condemnations were sincere, we would see more direct action against the Islamic terrorists and their influence, no?

    • moraywatson

Muslim leaders cannot teach muslims to reject the understanding of islam that the islamic terrorists use, because the islamic terrorists understanding of islam is correct.

    • Mickey Oberman

      Gratuitous verbiage.
Merely more taqiyya and kitman – Muslim subterfuge.

      • Nan

I didn’t know they used kittens as hit men.

    • eMan14

It’s a big if. I keep wanting to believe it. But reality keeps smacking me down.

    • jzaik

That’s because most moozlims support this. They won’t admit it openly, but a lot of moozlims are fine with islam being izlam.

Take case in point this guy. Notice how much deflection there is. I can take everything he says and rebut it point by point:

    • tamimisledus

These “condemnations” remind me of the “comfy cushions” which are, according to Monty Python’s cardinals, one of the “weapons” of the Inquisition, and they are certainly not likely to lead to any dramatic change to the behaviour of these barbarians.
Whenever I have heard these “condemnations”, they have been followed by “not acceptable” which sort of puts the behaviour of these murderous thugs on the same level as a child’s temper tantrum – which thinking about is probably about the right description, only with far serious consequences.

  • roccolore

Once again, Muslims play the victim.

  • Pete_Brewster

“Paris Killings Seen Fueling Europe’s Anti-Islam Movement,” say Bloomberg, clutching their pearls.

I would too. It was Bloomberg’s target readership who thought it such a smart idea to allow uncontrolled Muslim immigration.

  • tom_billesley

    If the cap fits ….

  • Porky17

“Islam is a backward barbaric murder cult.”

    Absolutely! Th-th-th-th-th-that’s all folks!

    • Raymond Hietapakka

      You’d better start dressing like a goat…

  • robins111

I noticed the CBC began the victim song with the story about this incident will encourage Pisslamaphobia, there were 800+ comments and they shut it down, they didn’t even close the comments, they just disappeared, strange eh…

  • CodexCoder

No, Muslim behavior makes Muslims look bad. Would anybody be critiquing the Islamic faith if three self proclaimed Muslims had not killed 12 people in cold blood for no other reason than a satirical cartoon? You want less criticism, start policing your own believers, and re-write the Quran which inspires this behavior.

    • tamimisledus

Would that be the koran where this kind of behaviour is divinely ordained and rewarded by allah, whose 101st name is “Terrorist in Chief”?

  • David Murrell

Indeed, and, according to FOX News:

one highly-regarded intellectual, the much-esteemed Howard Dean, has stated on MSNBC News that the mass murder of Charlie Hebdo was in fact NOT a Muslim terrorist attack. Got that everybody? THERE WAS NO MUSLIM TERRORIST ATTACK. This, according to MSNBC News.

    • tom_billesley

I’m glad I’m not as intellectual as that.
Did he deduce that it was da Joos again? The two innocent muslims were just stopping off to ask directions to a petrol station when they blundered into a workplace altercation.

      • Jason

I’ve often wondered *what* (if anything) would constitute a terrorist attack according to some of these “intellectuals”. I could guess at it: must not occur in a western country; must not be done by muslims; must have a minimum of 100 participants with official terrorist photo id’s (not expired); must not occur on a Friday; perpetrators must be dressed in official terrorist gear; etc. Essentially, terrorist attacks don’t exist.

        • eMan14

          It must be POTUS approved

    • Mickey Oberman

The usual MSNBC denial of the undeniable.

    • Norman_In_New_York

This is why MSNBC is now gasping for viewers.

    • eMan14

      What was I thinking?

    • Nan

But the guys that did it specifically said it was a Muslim Terrorist attack. Who you gonna believe? The perps or Howard Dean.

  • moraywatson

“Heinous” is an okay descriptor per Karim Karim, but “barbaric” is not.

I think what Special K means to say, is that it is okay for a muslim to speak about islam, but it is never okay for an infidel to do so.

    Fuck off Mr. Karim.

  • ontario john

But what about Heather Mallick and her dead bunny, doesn’t anybody care about that?

    • New Centurion

Ha! Poor Heather… like Lisa Simpson…the answer to a question nobody asked.

    • Raymond Hietapakka

…dead rabbit? What time do we drop by for the luncheon stew?

  • jayme

The 2 brothers are muslims they commited the crimes in the name of islam but there not muslims.

Flashback from the Past! “German Werhmacht Fears Backlash from Ardenne Abbey Massacre”.

  • Exile1981

Well to be honest you could say the attackers where barbarians which is an older usage meaning someone who is from the Barbary coast. Or your could use the other old meaning of Barbaric; which meant an act committed by those of the Barbary coast… who were all muslims by some odd turn of coincidence.

  • Mickey Oberman

“Another Alleged Canadian: Muslim Prof Says Calling #CharlieHebdo Massacre “Barbaric” Makes Muslims Look Bad”

Muslims do not need any assistance in looking bad.
Every word they say and every action they take does that for them – Mr. Karim

  • New Centurion

It must have been about one nanosecond after the attack that the Islamophobia propaganda machine went into full “Religion of Peace” “It’s everybody’s fault but ours” mode. Yeah nothing to see here folks move along. Why on earth do the MSM give these twats airtime? Never mind the Joooos control the media conspiracy, the MSM is clearly run out of Mecca.

    • tamimisledus

Ironically, it seems that every time islam shows its true face, at the end of the day just about the whole dumb population has been led to believe that islam is the best thing that could happen to them. (by people such as Karim) Call me paranoid if you like, but every time a muslim attacks a mosque, the anti-muslims are blamed, and every terrorist action by a muslim leads to a smear compaign against anti-muslims. It’s all just too convenient.

  • luna

    Actions speak louder than words.

  • Barrington Minge

For shame!! What else is It?

  • Raymond Hietapakka

MSM must make editorial decisions using a coin toss. One side of their coin says “Joooos” and the other side says “Privileged Whitey”

  • ontario john

The Toronto Star in addition to its story on how France’s colonial past is to blame, now has the muslim communities response in Toronto. A muslim Toronto leader calls the cartoons immoral.

    • Raymond Hietapakka

      …damn cartoons…

  • Guy7500

    Mr. Karim,
PM Harper does not have to say anything to make some muslims look bad. What happens all over does that job. The muslims parents of my boy’s friend do not look bad because they are descdent people. My muslim neighbour’s son looks bad because he was arrested by a special commando last month. The barbaric acts of some muslims all over the world does a good job as making them look bad. Most of us non-muslims are intelligent enough, believe it or not, to make the difference.
Again, Mr. Harper does not have to say anything. These barbarians are doing a good job by themselves.

  • Guy7500

Be upset at the barbarians who act in the name of your religion.

  • Ron MacDonald

This guy should be placed on immediate leave.

  • winniec

Karim H. Karim is barbaric. He does not recognize barbarism. Apparently, it isn’t barbaric when Muslims do it.
Vigilante murder is normative Islam. Islam is per se barbaric.
If you don’t want to be called ‘barbaric’, Karim, leave your terroristic, murderous Death Cult or leave Canada. We don’t want barbarians in Canada.

  • James Hamilton

    How is he a ‘Canadian’??
A muslim can never be a Canadian. Period.

    • eMan14

This is a question we must ask our leaders. But we already know what their answer will be.

  • Dorothy

Since Canadian newspapers regularly use Easter as an occasion to print “shocking” and “controversial” articles about the life of Christ, why do they not use Muslim feast days to explain why various non-Islamic scholars of Islam do not accept Islam’s claims as true? I personally do not accept Islam’s claims as true, so I would be delighted if, slowly, peacefully, other Canadians came to see how Islam’s claims are untrue.

  • Denis George Miller

how can I tell this murderer accomplice how I feel about his complicity and support of barbarian morals? And not get arrested!

  • DD_Austin

Reason # 1,987,876 to ban all immigrantion

  • Gary

Well at least the prof links muslims to it.

  • sdfa

Calling it “barbaric” offends the actual barbarians called that way by the Greeks because they talked in gibberish “barbarbarbarbar” = barbarian. Muslim massacres should be rather called “islamic” acts.

  • MRHapla

    Soooooooooooooo,,,it’s not “Islam”,or “Muslim”,,now it’s not barbaric??

How about blood thirsty? Psychotic? Homicidal Manics?? It still spells and smells, like Islam

  • Sonya Bourachaga

Why is the esteemed Professor so irritated by the word “BARBARIC”, and the worldwide violence associated with Islam. Is it because the Muslim Terrorists who committed the Charlie Hebdo massacre were simply pious Muslims following the commands of Allah clearly revealed in the following verse:

“We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers (Jews and Christians). They serve other Gods for whom no sanction has been revealed. Hell shall be their home; dismal indeed is the dwelling place of the evil-doers”. Koran 3:149

Or because, the prophet of Islam designated by The Koran as “AL Insan Ul Kamel” (Arabic for the perfect human being) was not a believer in the values of free speech, thus he established the tradition of blasphemy in Islam, the death penalty for anyone who dares to challenge the words of the desert bandit and highlights the shallowness of his warped personal views often attributed to Allah. To understand his intolerance for ridicule one has only to study the story of Asmaa Bint Marwan.

She used to revile Islam, offend the prophet by composing Qasidas (Arabic for poetry) depicting him as a phony hypocrite. “When the apostle heard what she had said, he said, “Who will rid me of Marwan’s daughter?” Umayr b. Adiy al-Khatmi who was with him heard him, and that very night he went to her house and killed her. In the morning he came to the apostle and told him what he had done and he [Muhammad] said, “You have helped God and His apostle, O Umayr!” When he asked if he would have to bear any evil consequences the apostle said, “Two goats won’t butt their heads about her”, so Umayr went back to his people. Source: The Life of Muhammad. A translation of Ishaq’s “Sirat Rasul Allah”, pgs. 675–676, A. Guillaume, Oxford University Press, 1955

We are deeply sorry Professor for blaming two pious/barbarian/blood thirsty
Muslims for emulating the perfect human being-prophet Mohamad.
