Belgian court grants killer rapist the right to be put to death after he argues he cannot overcome his violent sexual impulses

A rapist and murderer is to be put to death in Belgium, despite the EU ban on the death penalty, after a court granted him the right to euthanasia.

Frank Van Den Bleeken argued that he had no prospect of release because he cannot overcome his violent sexual impulses and wants to end years of mental anguish.

Van Den Bleeken, 51, will commit medically assisted suicide at a prison in Bruges this week.

A spokesman for Belgian justice minister Koen Geens told the newspaper De Morgen: ‘Euthanasia will indeed be implemented. The time has come.’

Not quite. Belgium’s Muslims are to be fruitful and multiply—whether white Flemish or Walloon women care to join in or not.

The legal argument is that he’d be cheating the state out of their just punishment. Anyone who didn’t feel they could tolerate a long prison sentence could opt for suicide, which is kind of an incentive for judges on the one hand to hand down massive jail terms for anything and on the other hand an equally activist group of judges to allow anyone to kill themselves for just about any reason at all. And since suicide is now legal for teenagers, it’s like we’re watching Romeo and Juliet. Your daughter gets in a fight with her boyfriend – off to the suicide machine. It would tend to weed out the drama queens. Hell, we could extend this law to anyone who loses on a reality TV show. Get thrown off the island and you can opt to be thrown into a volcano. Better yet, let all the terrorists blow themselves up in a safe controlled environment.

If that were all there were to it, and prisoners thought life without parole a fate worse than death, that would be quite all right with me. The money saved on free room and board for incorrigible criminals alone would be worth it.

Alas, convicted criminals aren’t the only target of Brussels’ taste for putting down “undesirables,” or even the most important.

They’ve effectively brought back capital punishment?

    • Pete_Brewster

Apparently so. The only question left is why it’s such an outrage when done to American blacks who were clearly guilty as sin.

I don’t suppose neutering him was an option? When it was still done in Germany it worked like a charm.

This is not a death sentence or any other sentence for that matter. In a state that allows euthanasia, this is a choice of the individual and only the individual. There is no confusion here.
