Taliban declares ‘defeat’ of U.S. troops in Afghanistan

Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan on Monday declared the “defeat” of the U.S. and its allies in the 13-year-old war, a day after the coalition officially marked the end of its combat mission.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force is shifting to a support mission for Afghan army and police more than a decade after an international alliance ousted the Taliban government for sheltering the planners of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on American cities.

“ISAF rolled up its flag in an atmosphere of failure and disappointment without having achieved anything substantial or tangible,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in an statement emailed Monday.

Shorter Taliban: “You failed to civilize us and turn us into anything better than cavemen who shoot little children learning to read in school. And we still have our goats to keep us warm in the lonely Afghan nights. We win you ignoble American bastards!”

Right. They win but they’re barely out of the Stone Age.

Some victory they still belong to the religion that is the laughing-stock of the planet.

When the Chinese and their Dumpsterstani stooges move in to get the huge lithium deposits there producing, the Taliban will find themselves in a “different situation”.

    • Frau Katze

Even the Chinese won’t go there. A few of their workers get killed and they pull out. Easier picking elsewhere.

They only just got the memo? Obama’s been declaring that for years now.

  • Clausewitz

America didn’t lose. Obama lost all; the war, the peace, and all credibility.

  • Hard Little Machine

    The genocide will be spectacular.

We have come a long way since the movie of Rambo III where Rambo played by Sylvester Stallone went to Afghanistan and allied himself with the Mujahadeen on a secret covert mission. The Mujahadeen in the 1980’s where seen as the ‘good guys’ back then. In reality they were lead by Osama Bin Laden who they later became Al Qaeda and the Taliban. It wasn’t until the 9/11 terrorist attack the world truly became aware of them. Today much of Al Qaeda has become ISIS a far more evil and insidious terrorist organization. Afghanistan is truly a failed state. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZemQdvthBs
