    Lovely picture!
    Out of curiosity, would anyone hazard a guess as to what the two different-coloured trees are?

      I don’t have the foggiest. Presumably the yellow ones are deciduous and the green ones are evergreen. Evergreens in Canada are almost always conifers (except on southern Vancouver Island, home of Canada’s only native deciduous evergreen). Deciduous evergreens usually cannot take cold weather.
