ISIS has killed almost 2,000 people in Syria alone in just six months

Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has executed nearly 2,000 people in Syria alone since claiming territory in the war-torn country, a British-based monitoring group have said.

ISIS announced its ‘caliphate’ in June, and has since killed hundreds of civilians within its self-proclaimed borders, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The militant group also murdered 120 of their own men, most of them foreign fighters trying to return home, in the last two months, the British-based monitoring group said Sunday.
