Salutin at The Star, I mean Al Starzeera: Everyone is mean to Muslims and yay for North Korea, and did I mention that I hate America?

Sony and the big U.S. theatre chains have The Interview pulled

The Interview — about James Franco and Seth Rogen being tasked by the CIA to assassinate Kim Jong-Un — from release. It got taken out instead of Kim. Forget the victory of Cuba over U.S. policy after 67 years or the crisis of the ruble. Alan Dershowitz says, “North Korea has declared war on our first amendment”…

In 1979 the Iran hostage crisis sent the U.S. into a cataleptic state over being abused and dissed by some cheesy non superpower (as opposed to the USSR/Russia)…

Edward Said, the elegant Columbia prof, literary critic and Palestinian advocate, wrote a book called Covering Islam . His proposition was: when military, political and economic weapons failed, the U.S. sent in the media. He tallied the masses of western reporters (freely allowed into Iran by its evil government) and how they overwhelmed criticism of the U.S. by dominating the coverage…

How did the Muslim/Arab world eventually counter the media assault? Not by censorship or indignation but by creating Al Jazeera, their own version of Nightline, and now the largest and probably best journalistic operation in the world…

I am getting it again: Islamonausea plus a strong distaste for this news outlet.

I’m not quite sure. I was a bit stunned by the tone of it. The reporters are now definitely out of Iran (not mentioned by the writer).

      • I lived in Iran for 23-24 years. The Iranian state run papers were distributed freely in public places such as campuses, offices and such. I didn’t know the same practice was done in the West until I saw Toronto Star being distributed for free in Toronto university campuses and govt office. A Pretty similar practice, I’d say. State run indoctrination.

The Toronto Star has the highest circulation of any paper in Canada.

R S must be referring to al jazeera’s 200 over proof output in arabic.

There’s no whore like an old whore. Especially when he’s shilling for every anti American sentiment out there. I can’t believe the SNN has this thing on the air on occasion.

      What is SNN?

I checked on Google and found another Syrian news site (based on observations by people on the ground). Shaam News Network. Lots of pix.

Ricky desires to be a submissive of any dominant person, especially if suitably mean words are used against him. The greater the abasement, the greater his contentment.

    Cheers

The reason Rick Saluntin called al Jezeera “the best journalistic operation in the world”, is that al Jezeera is anti-Semitic, and advocates the destruction of the State of Israel, and the removal of all Jews from the Middle East. As such, this notorious news agency wins Salutin’s support. And the Star’s support.

What – no blame for Israel and or Jews?

Turned down a free copy of the Red Star yesterday in our supermarket, offered by a lovely young person of colour, told her we hadn’t read it for many years but added, nothing personal to her efforts to make a little cash. Horrible paper, racist as they come.
