Batshit crazy joke magazine Salon publishes piece by black woman who was a victim of racism when a white man sat next to her on a train

“Brittney Cooper teaches Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies at Rutgers” because of course she does.

  • That is crazy.

    • The Goat

      The 19th Amendment is crazy.

I’ve taken white privilege to the next level. I drive a car to work, thereby totally separating myself from the “otherness” of womyn of color.

    • Guest

Great retort…but I hate to inform you that Big Green beat you to it. I worked for a very short time at an NGO in the early 1990s where they were working on “alternative transportation” (translated: depriving middle Americans of private car ownership and use). They were very well funded by enormous foundations like Ford (think Democracy Now), Rockefeller, and the like.

One of the “policy analysts” (an auburn-haired, green-eyed Berkeley grad who called herself black because she had one grandparent who was half or 1/4 black or something) said one day that the main reason to do away with private transportation was to force whites into contact with blacks on a daily basis. She said that “every time Soccer Mommy drives the kids to school in her SUV, it’s White Flight.”

Yeah, even your car is racist. Go figure. Same old sameold in the global war on Americans of European ancestry.

  • Ed

And my wife and I unconsciously had white kids… that’s how deeply rooted our privilege is.

    • Surele Surele

What a coincident. Me and my husband have two white kids as well. What are the odds?

  • jayme

So if i get on a bus and a black person sits next to me i would be in my righ to ak her or him to sit in another seat.

  • MS Cooper calls herself “Next Generation Black Intellectual”. http://www.brittneycooper.com/

She is a professional race whiner. She “teaches” all the latest in race and gender hate theory.

She makes a living by being a professional bigot – on race and gender.

    Victimology studies. Sounds Marxist.

    • Frau Katze

Very. She’s a female black Stalin wannabe. Likely wanted to smack the guy but she knew it might not be a good idea to carry it that far.

  • Exile1981

Why is public money being spent on these joke programs? Lets be honest a degree in how to be a victim is a drain on society.

  • moraywatson

The lack of a trigger warning at the start of that piece of stupidity was a blatant micro aggression. (The white man was supposed to try harder to get her attention? How? By dancing? By touching her? One can only imagine how she would have reacted to those acts of “racism”).

    • Ed

She will certainly suffer micro aggressions from her students, when they graduate and realize they have zero marketable skills.

  • Maybe she’d be happier if we just, you know, made it so when it comes to public transport, black people sat at one end of the vehicle, and whites at the other…

  • minuteman

Not only is she bitter and crazy, she’s ugly.

  • Pete_Brewster

You know what? This time of day the stopped clock is correct.

If her story is true, her fellow passenger was incredibly rude. Well-brought-up people politely ask the fellow passenger to move his baggage if necessary so they can sit. If fellow passenger is distracted, the most you do is tap his shoulder. You don’t just fling his stuff out of the way.

I can imagine too that had she been a younger, thinner and better looking white woman he’d have remembered his manners.

    • Frau Katze

      She was wearing headphones.

      • And was completely oblivious to her surroundings, as well as using the next seat as a place-to-put-her-stuff, which is not the way to behave on what was obviously a crowded train.

        • Frau Katze

I recall from my bus riding days that I always cleared the adjoining seat of any of my stuff if it got crowded. I cannot imagine reacting like her. She is a grievance monger.

      • Pete_Brewster

So tap her on the shoulder. Again, don’t just fling her stuff around.

        • 1970greenie

Where in the article doe it mention flinging? He threw her possesions? You seem to be saying that when an individual takes up two seats on an otherwise full bus it is somehow the responsibility of others to go well out of their way to point out the selfish nature of their actions?

    • Minicapt

He was probably Irish, and a Catholic.

      Cheers

This is a recent photo of “I-CAN’T-BREATHE Eric Garner’s grave. Notice who well tended it is. Garner was well loved by both the Black community and his family and the impeccable state of his grave attests to that. The tasteful headstone was provided courtesy of the Reverend ‘Al and the flowers were paid for by Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition…

Though his funeral was attended by crowds of people wailing about his fate, I wonder if anyone at all was present when he was laid to rest.

    Probably not.

Black supremacism. I think I added a category. Classic case – she is not even trying to hide it.

    • Feel free to add categories if they seem appropriate. I’ve done it on occasion.

    • Alain

I call it black privilege. It means you can say anthing and do anything including openly breaking the law and get a pass.

      • Frau Katze

You could use that term too.

  • Raymond Hietapakka

…probably offended the cracker didn’t try to steal her Coby tablet…not GOOD enough for him, that snobby, white bastard….

  • Maggat

How in the hell would you find room on the bench next to her.

  • Yusuf_Al_Kafir

‘this passenger never even considered that he might simply try harder to get my attention’

Yes, why didn’t he just yell at her to get her attention?

Because, had he yelled to get her attention she’s be comparing him to whip-holding plantation owner.

  • glasnost

She’s fortunate it was a racist white man and not a violent black man. (as long as we’re stereotyping)

  • Surele Surele

Shocking! The white hand actually belongs to a white man. Who would’ve thought?

    • Frau Katze

Will she ever get over the trauma?

      • Guest

Probably not. If I had to look at THAT in the mirror each day, I’d be looking for SOMEWHERE to displace my trauma. White men carry the weight of her world in every other way, so might as well be this one too. “Carry my burdens! You got white man burdens, you rayciss! What you mean you ain’ gonna carry my burdens? You rayciss!”
