Muslim Gunmen Take Hostages in Sydney, Australia

3 hostages escape.

Multiple Police raids, POSSIBLE additional hostages ALSO held bomb at the Sydney Opera House…

BBC World News REFUSES to say the “I-word”. They just call it a “black flag with Arabic writing”.

MORE Coverage HERE

Pictures on Australian television show at least three people with their hands up against a window, and a black flag with Arabic writing. Hundreds of armed police have sealed off Martin Place in Sydney’s central business district. New South Wales police have asked people to avoid the area. An Australian Broadcasting Corporation reporter said that gunfire had been heard at the scene, the Lindt chocolate cafe – but this has not been confirmed.

Lindt Chocolate official just said 50 people in the building.

One loner is not going to watch 20 hostages let alone 50.This is starting to look like a test run for the new anti terrorist legislation that was passed a few weeks ago.

Looks like the chocolate cafe wasn’t Halal!

Australia used to be a free nation, free from crime and fear, they need to reevaluate their situation.

After they disarmed their entire law abiding population, I’m sure it’s as safe as it can be for Islamic terrorist.

I fear a possible “backlash” against ‘peaceful’ Muslims.

Disarmament of native population & opening the flood gates to immigration were the first & second step to dismantle western civilization.

The third step, declaring anyone opposed to the first two steps a h8tr & Islamophobe and locking them up somewhere, is well under way.

Islam’s flow-chart of big ideas never includes a box labeled “good for humanity”.

      • Uncle_Waspy

Heh,…the flow-chart concept is perhaps a little too advanced for our head-hacking friends.

Let’s not forget that this is a cult where eating a bacon banquet burger, or having non marital consensual sex will get you a one way ticket to hell. But chopping off an infidel’s head is totally halal. Psycho-fag death cult.

The above comment is so so so… offensive. A Canadian Kangaroo court Canadian court of law would fine you! Censorship, I say, censorship!!!

      • His meaning in that comment is completely ambiguous. It conveys nothing other than “let’s get serious”.

Is this really the only thing that interests you about the people being held hostage in Sydney right now? That you feel slighted somehow?

Maybe I could put up a thread where you could just post comments about how sorry you feel for yourself.

I wonder how long it will take before a lefty political leader will do the following (three, two, one…):

    1) Say this has nothing to do with Islam, and
    2) Focus on the mythical backlash against the Islamic community.

    • Linda1000

As you type JT will no doubt do some outreach this evening and visit his favourite mosque for the last prayer for today. Likely senator Mitchell will join him.
I noticed our multikult Foreign Affairs MP, Baird said on Twitter he is continuing to monitor developments in Sydney.

      BAM!

I just watched the Australian PM refer to this halal hostage taking as a ‘politically motivated crime’.

Adding insult to injury, despite the escalating occurrence of Islam-motivated attacks in the West, our government leaders refuse to call a spade a spade.

      • Brett_McS

But Abbott is right in a sense. The motivation is to install Sharia law. That is a political aim.

        • Yeah but there’s also this: “Prime Minister Tony Abbott says authorities do not yet know the motivation behind the siege that has shut down central Sydney, though there are “some indications” it could be politically motivated.”

          http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-12-15/abbott-says-it-is-unclear-if-sydney-siege-politically-motivated/5967860

          • Brett_McS

If he comes out with a Bush-like “this is nothing to do with Islam, which is a religion of peace” I’ll concede the point.

        • Yusuf_Al_Kafir

          That’s a good point.

Since Islam is actually an ‘ideology’ and not a ‘religion’ the motivation for the attack is actually ‘political’.

As much as I’d love to pretend Abbot is calling out Islam for the ideology that it is, he’s just looking to protect someone’s ‘religion’ from blame.
          That ‘religion’ obviously being Islam.

      • Clausewitz

I’ve long held the belief that Islam is not a Religion, but an extortion racket of a political movement much like the Democrats and the Liberals.

There’s some clown on CTV News Channel, Chris Lewis, who just said that the hostage taking might not have been the intent.

As if there was an everyday disagreement or something at the chocolates store and whomever just happened to have a ‘shahada’ flag on their person, and decided to hang it in the window.

I’m soooooo glad that CTV’s ‘public safety analyst’ can make sense of it all.

      • Yusuf_Al_Kafir

I could only watch a couple of minutes of a live stream with whatever Aussie channel’s reporting before their analyst started splitting hairs over the fact that the black flag in the window is not the exact same flag that ISIS flies.
He referred to the flag in the window as a ‘profession of faith’.

He then went on to say that not having the exact ‘ISIS flag’* makes the perpetrators look inept/disorganized/whatever because ISIS flags are readily available.

In one breath he’s downplaying what’s going on, and in the next breath says that ISIS flags are readily available in Australia. It’s too much.

*ISIS didn’t invent that damned flag. It’s a copy of the same flag that Mohammed himself fought under. But, if anyone in the media bothered mentioning this it would be that much harder to convince people that Islam is a ‘Religion of Peace.’

(QUOTE) His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Australia, the Australian National Imams Council supported by the Muslim community have been devastated by the recent news that (has) been circulated in the media agencies about the reported hostage incident unfolding in Martin Place.

The Grand Mufti and the Australian National Imams Council condemn this criminal act unequivocally and reiterate that such actions are denounced in part and in whole in Islam.

We along (with) the wide Australian society await the results of the investigation about the identity of the perpetrators and their underlying motivations behind this criminal act.

His Eminence the Grand Mufti, the Australian National Imams Council and the Muslim community express their full support and solidarity with the victims and their families and aspire to a peaceful resolve to this calamity. (END QUOTE)

Dunno about you guys, but I’d really like to hear Theo Horesh’s enlightened take on things.

  • Jay Currie

Praying for a semi peaceful resolution. Semi because I want the hostages and police safe and the perp(s) dead or, better still, hideously wounded and living just long enough to give up the people who helped them do this.

Bigger picture: this is great. There is a war on. It has been fought on Parliament Hill, it is being fought in a chocolate shop but mainly it is being fought in the hearts and minds of decent, normal Canadians, Swedes, Frenchmen, Brits, Germans, Yanks and, today, Aussies.

It is a war about Islam. Do we recognize Islam as inherently dangerous or do we continue to pretend that the vile terrorist bastards it spawns are aberrations?

Every incident like this underscores what Islam is and how for some of its adherents terror is the holy path.

When we understand this, when the bulk of our population understand this, Muslim immigration will become a political issue. So will voluntary Muslim emigration and so will involuntary expulsion of Muslim criminals, terrorists and the communities which enable them.

Unfortunately it will have to get worse before we are willing to take the steps to make it better. The Islamic bastard in Sydney is helping us towards reality.

That’s what ultimately happens when you drop dreaded immigration restrictions like the White Australia Policy.

Now that Australia is full of illiterate Sudanese savages and plastic-Lebanese of the non-Christian extraction, both types which are highly addicted to that pastiche better known as the Qur’an, the Land Down Under will eventually fulfill its homesick-stricken urge to imitate the mother country in every respect. I wish them good luck with that one.
