Guardian: ‘Islamophobia is racism, pure and simple’

Islamophobia is on the rise in Germany. That is troubling enough. But what’s even more concerning is that many of those whom I would define as Islamophobic feel very good about it. They see themselves not as racist or xenophobic, but as defenders of democracy and human rights against the adherents of a religion they believe is incompatible with both.

Over the past few years the advance of Islamophobia can be easily observed. Anti-Muslim websites such as Politically Incorrect have expanded and become more aggressive, cherry-picking reports of crimes by Muslim perpetrators in order to confirm their prejudices; books with a clear anti-Muslim agenda – such as that of Thilo Sarrazin, a former Berlin finance senator – have sold hundreds of thousands of copies, including claims that Muslim immigrants are “dumbing down” Germany; parties such as Pro Köln, which hysterically warn of an “Islamic land grab”, have been founded.

It is against this backdrop that we have to look at the weekly protests in Dresden against the “Islamisation” of Germany. Few of those attending are neo-Nazis or classic rightwing radicals. Instead, the vast majority are normal citizens. Interestingly, and perhaps tellingly, there are hardly any Muslims in Dresden. Islamophobia apparently has as much to do with imagination as with reality…

There are few Muslims in Dresden (part of former East Germany) and they would like to keep it that way. STFU, Guardianistas.

The murder of Lee Rigby was racism.

    • Frau Katze

I’m sure it had racist overtones.

In my opinion the word Islamophobia now means…. a person who resists muslim violence towards non-muslims….or a person against the Sharia….or a person against violence towards children, women, homosexuals, Jews, Christian and Atheists as well as other religious groups. An Islamophobe is a person who is a defender of traditional Western liberal values of free speech and equality of all men and woman before the law….I guess Its all the above and it must be a word that for all time means resistance to islamic supremacy and totalitarianism….. its a badge of honour.

The Guardian is an excellent “do the opposite paper.”

When all you’ve got is the race card you’ve got nuthin. And Islam isn’t even a race! Could the Guardian be any more pathetic than it already is? (I bet they’ll find a way…)

The editor-in chief just resigned after 20 years, does that help? But who will take over? Better the devil you know……., or they might just be coming to their senses. Quien sabe?

Muslims really oughta share this magic act of converting to a different race, if indeed becoming Islam means changing your race too, which according to our idiotic “elites,” must be what happens since they see Islam as a race.

It is interesting that upon conversion to Islam, the convert takes an Arabic name. Methinks this would demonstrate quite clearly that Islam is an Arabic supremacist cult of death; it’s as diverse as any monoculture can be.

It’s not racist. The idiot converts irritate me more than those who were born to it.

Nice to see them panic when they see people who aren’t afraid of them any more and refuse to listen to any more taqiyya.

Yes, Yassin. Germans hate the bleeding sight of you. Now that’s settled, decide if you’re going to leave Germany voluntarily or if the German people will have to make you leave.

Or you could concede Islam is evil, convert to Christianity and start working twice as hard to help the good guys as you did to slander them. I doubt anyone is holding his breath on that one.
