“Senate Report Says Torture Program Was More Gruesome, Widespread Than CIA Claimed”

    Good!
    Thank you CIA!

    • Heh;)

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Very rarely do I agree with how my tax dollars are spent.

  • When is the report due on the tactics of the Taliban and ISIS?

    • It’s running late.

      • Frau Katze

I understand no one can top them for torture. It’s an old custom in the Middle East.

  • Alain

When you define torture as being in the presence of a female infidel being in charge as opposed to electric cables attached to your genital, chopping off fingers, pulling out teeth and fingernails, then you might as well surrender.

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.: ‘This study is bigger than the actions of the CIA. It’s about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the rule of law’

    1) Don’t those apply to American citizens only?

    2) Torturing* foreign terrorists is not against the law.

    3) Liberals citing those documents as support – LOL!

*Even if it was torture, which it wasn’t.

    • garyk2

Listening to feinstein’s voice is a form of torture for me.

  • Billy Bob Thornton

I am not defending the Democrats since they are just as much as warmonger as the Republicans are so I won’t waste my time with that, but we have to support the soldiers that come home even after the lies perpetrated by the US government to get into Iraq. We know that Iraq is worse now than when Hussein was in power. We also know that the US will justify any war to give itself an advantage in the world. The Crosstalk person on RT from yesterday’s show outlined it perfectly by saying that the US doesn’t very much care about human rights or democracy or if it supports dictators or international law.

    • Billy Bob Thornton

The US to me has no moral compass anymore. Kind of hard to believe some call them a Christian nation.

      • David

        ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

        • Clink9

          Billy’s talking to himself again.

          • Billy Bob Thornton

The Iraq war made it possible for the peace movement to flourish. You could say the lying made a whole generation of skeptics and people against the status quo. That is one good thing Bush gave the world.

          • Clink9

The Viet Nam war made it possible for the peace movement to flourish. Fixed it.

          • Billy Bob Thornton

Some people think that by being peaceful meaning for no war that such a person is a traitor. Well no that is not the case. Such a person is just against imperialism and would like a different way of doing things. That doesn’t mean completely taking away the mechanism to launch wars. There are varying degrees to non-interventionism. The same thing with varying degrees of interventionism. In responding to your comment, Clink9, the fact is even peace movements grow or fall based on how a government acts.

          • Clink9

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

          • Billy Bob Thornton

I am for more parties in the USA meaning new ideas and nationalism.

Where did I say I support Islam? I frankly think secularism can be more beneficial to the West.

I am non-interventionist and only support peace and nonviolence because that is the best way to conduct a foreign policy that works.

          • Billy Bob Thornton

I’ve said that we need to end immigration for the most part till people here are served and we need to have secularism over multiculturalism. It solves both problems. Nationalism beats the standard libconndp ideologies hands down.

          • Alain

Allow me to correct that statement. The communist infiltrators made it possible for the peace movement to flourish during the Vietnam war and still today.

          • Clink9

            Yes, and smelly hippies.

      • Frau Katze

Perhaps you’ll be happier when it become Islamic. Just give it time.

          • Alain

Really? It would be hard to get more secularism than what already exists, so clearly that is not the solution. I am not saying secuarlism is wrong per se, but it certainly has not solved the problem of Islamic imperialism within our own borders.

    • Frau Katze

RT (Russia Today). I wouldn’t trust them.

  • Gotterdammerung141

    From page 26 ,

“Shortly thereafter, CIA Headquarters formally proposed that Abu Zubaydah be kept in an all-white room that was lit 24 hours a day, that Abu Zubaydah not be provided any amenities, that his sleep be disrupted, that loud noise be constantly fed into his cell, and that only a small number of people interact with him.”

The person who thinks that is torture should read up on the type of stuff that our soldiers go through in Battle School, or for that matter, actual battle. Or for that matter read about the types of conditions that women have to live in in pretty much every towelhead country, especially Afghanistan.

    • Frau Katze

Wow, it sounds way worse than anything Saddam Hussein was doing (and he wasn’t the only one). They were pulling out fingernails, stuff like that. I’m supposed to get upset over someone kept in a lit white room?

      • Clink9

When Saddam liked you, you could go into the shredder head first.

    • Alain

That is about the same as people being forced to live near government imposed wind turbines, and to those the government says no problem.

  • Hard Little Machine

Liberals seemingly are unconcerned about the treatment of US citizens in US prisons though.

  • RevnantDream

Why no report on tortures used by Islamists?

  • Morticiaa

The only mistake made if any was not to put a bullet in each demented brain after trying to extract information to prevent any further evil destructive savagery with the sole intent of eliminating modern western democracies. Islam is evil Allah is insane Mohammad is a mad pig

The ‘Senate Report’ was written by Democrat staffers, working under instructions of Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein, of San Fransisco. It would appear that accounts of CIA torture will be a boon to the local Frisco arts culture.
