New Minnesota law lets transgender student athletes choose whether to compete as boys or girls

Transgender student athletes will now be able to choose which sex of team they wish to play on after the Minnesota State High School League approved a policy regarding high school sports teams.

Transgender students will be allowed to participate in activities in line with their gender identity after turning in a confidential written request to their school.

The policy will take effect next school year… The policy states that these students would share showers and hotel rooms…


If a XY male decides he is female but does not take hormones, he will have an unfair advantage playing on a female team. Testosterone creates a more muscled frame.
