Well integrated British jihadist Jaffar Deghayes, 17, killed in Syria

A British jihadist who was just 16 when he fled to fight in Syria has become the second in his family to die alongside Islamic rebels.

Jaffar Deghayes, from Saltdean, East Sussex, has been killed in a battle near Aleppo, his father Abu-Bakr told The Telegraph.

It comes just six months after another of the six brothers in the family, Abdullah, was killed while fighting in Kassab, in Latakia province of Syria.

Mr Deghayes said: “I don’t have much detail but I know he was killed in battle, it appears against Assad’s forces somewhere near Aleppo.
