Only a university professor… Convicted terrorist unaware he was committing crime, expert testifies

Convicted terrorist Misbahuddin Ahmed is a humble, timid man who didn’t realize his association with a radicalized friend would result in his facing a long stretch in federal penitentiary, a veteran correctional psychologist testified Tuesday.

Ahmed, a 31-year-old former diagnostic imaging technician at The Ottawa Hospital, was convicted by a jury of two terrorist-related offences: conspiracy to commit a terrorist offence and participating in the activities of a terrorist group.
