#DiversityIsOurStrength in Iraq: Another unacceptable mosque destroyed in Mosul

Militants from the Islamic State group blew up a mosque and shrine dating back to the 14th century in Mosul on July 27, local residents said, the latest casualty in a week that has seen a half dozen of the Iraqi city’s most revered holy places destroyed.

Mosul residents said the Prophet Jirjis Mosque and Shrine was bombed and destroyed by the radical jihadist group. They spoke anonymously to The Associated Press for fear of reprisal.

The complex was built over the Quraysh cemetery in Mosul in the late 14th century, and included a small shrine dedicated to Nabi Jerjis, the Prophet George…

Do not forget that the Wahabbi Saudi’s did the same in Mecca in the 1920’s.

Something puzzles me.  Why are there no outraged Muslims writing about this?  I have yet to see a single op-ed piece on it.

I can see that those living in Mosul are scared for their lives.  But why are Muslims in safety of the West not all over this?

It is like they cannot bring themselves to criticize other Muslims no matter what they do, aside from the pro forma statements about “rejecting terrorism.”

Can you imagine the uproar if a Western terror group started destroying historic places?  It would be a huge scandal. Yet Muslims are blandly accepting this.  Anyone else have an ideas why no one speaks out?
