Convicted Muslim terrorist Omar Khadr can move to provincial cell, court rules

EDMONTON – The Alberta Court of Appeal has approved Omar Khadr’s transfer from a federal prison to a provincial jail.

Convicted of killing a US soldier with a grenade on a battlefield in Afghanistan when he was only 15 years old, Khadr, born in Toronto, spent 10 years at Guantanamo after his capture in 2002.
