This Month’s Immigration Poster Boy Mohamed Hersi Guilty Of Two Terrorism Offences

TORONTO – A former downtown Toronto security guard has been found guilty of two terrorism offences in Brampton Friday.

After two days of deliberations, a jury found Mohamed Hassan Hersi, 28, guilty of attempting to participate in terrorist activity by joining Al-Shabab, the Somali terrorist group that orchestrated the massacre of a shopping mall in Nairobi last year.

Hersi was also found guilty of counselling another man — who was an undercover Toronto police officer posing as a Somali-Canadian — to join the same organization.
