NDP says Liberals set up astro-turf twitter accounts with your money

New documents show Metrolinx used tax dollars to pay high-priced consultants to create fake twitter accounts as part of an astro-turf campaign designed to suppress public criticism and manufacture the appearance of grassroots support for a Liberal plan to increase the gas tax and HST.

The Ontario government transit agency paid the consultants $1-million in public funds to manipulate public opinion and pave the way for a Liberal plan to hit families with new taxes, tolls and fees.
