The father of Yahya Abdi – the Somali teenager who stowed away in an aeroplane’s wheel well – said that his son was ‘struggling’ to accept life in the U.S.
Abdulahi Yusuf Abdi said: ‘Our family was deeply concerned when my son went missing, and we were relieved to hear of his safety considering the circumstances of his trip.
‘My son, like many immigrant children, is struggling in adjusting to life in this country.’
Mr Abdi said his family’s ‘situation was aggravated by our displacement in Africa for many years after fleeing our home country of Somalia because of war conditions.’
His son had not received a formal education before being thrust into a school in California.
The 15-year-old’s mother Ubah Mohamed Abdullahi, lives at the Sheder Refugee Camp in Ethiopia and wants her son to live with her.
Mr Abdi, however, said that he would be flying to Hawaii to bring his son home to California.
‘Yahya is a good kid who I love dearly,’ he said.
The stowaway teenager who miraculously survived a five hour flight to Hawaii hidden in the wheel well of a Boeing 767 was falsely told by his own father that his mother was dead – and he discovered the truth two years ago, it was claimed today…

The father is being represented (i.e., coached on what to say) by CAIR reptiles:
This report indicates the boy’s mother was dumped in Somalia and the father took the kids and divorced her.
