Christmas ‘was cancelled’ at Trojan Horse probe school

Christmas was cancelled at a Birmingham school caught up in the Trojan Horse probe, new reports have claimed.

The father of a pupil at Oldknow Academy in Small Heath alleged neither the festive season nor Easter were observed. Oldknow is one of 18 city schools examined by Ofsted in connection with claims that hardline Muslims were plotting to seize control.

Fresh claims were also made by a former Park View staff member that girl pupils were “not treated as equals”, with many Muslim teachers directing questions mainly to the boys.

It was also alleged that a “member of staff” last year put up posters in corridors bearing the message: “If you do not pray, you are worse than a kafir”, an insulting term for non-Muslims.
