USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers called Eric Holder’s “whining” about Republican racism against him and President Obama “a little unseemly,” with the former Democratic strategist claiming the Clinton administration was treated many times worse by Republicans in the 1990s.
Powers spoke on a Fox News panel along with Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer about remarks made by Holder on Thursday after a contentious hearing with House Republicans the day before.
The attorney general heavily suggested that opposition to him and President Obama was: (a) unprecedented and (b) was due to the fact they are both African-American.
