Michael Coren: Too many still fear offending Islam

A couple of years ago I received an accusatory e-mail from someone named Ibrahim Hooper, one of the main media faces of the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). He’s a white convert to Islam and looks more like an angry mall cop than a devout Muslim.

His letter was brief and typical and I ignored it. Hard to ignore Hooper though, as he is ubiquitous on American TV.

And there I was on Wednesday night, lying in bed in my Sacramento hotel room drinking wine, eating a ham sandwich, having earlier been to the city’s delightful Catholic cathedral, watching Fox News as Hooper shouted at the highly intelligent Megyn Kelly when she questioned his attacks on the heroic Ayaan Hirsi Ali…
