Nothing to do with Islam…. Afghan Police Commander Shouts Allahu Akbar Shoots 2 Reporters Killing 1

A Canadian-born journalist working for the Associated Press in Afghanistan was shot and wounded Friday while on assignment. A German photographer travelling with her was killed.

Kathy Gannon, 60, of Timmins, Ont., was travelling in a convoy in the Tani district when an Afghan police commander walked up to their vehicle, yelled “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great), and opened fire on them in the back seat.

Associated Press photographer Anja Niedringhaus, 48, of Germany was killed instantly, according to an AP Television freelancer who witnessed the shooting.
