World Bulletin: Muslim couple removed from the Empire State Building for praying

A Muslim husband and wife have opened a lawsuit on the owners of New York’s Empire State Building for being “assaulted, battered and forcibly removed” from the building’s observation deck for praying.

According to the New York Post, the couple will sue Malkin Properties and security company Andrews International Inc. over the incident which took place in July on the building’s 86th-floor while looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way place to pray.

The couple say that they have prayed in public before while travelling and try to be as respectful as possible when seekings a spot to pray, asking officers for permission beforehand.
