Reason may not be a strongpoint: Central African Muslims unsuccessfully try to bring down French chopper with stones

Central African Muslims pelt French chopper with stones

BANGUI – Hundreds of Central African Muslims on Sunday tried to inflict damage on a French military helicopter flying over the northwestern city of Ndele, a local priest said.

The Muslims had taken to the streets to protest the French killing of four alleged seleka fighters in Ndele, about 600 kilometers north of the capital Bangui, a day earlier.

The angry demonstrators pelted an avalanche of stones at a French helicopter flying overhead, Eddy Manda, the local priest, told Anadolu Agency.
