U.S. issue a global travel alert and embassies across ‘the Muslim world’ to close amid threats of a terrorist attack

The United States has issued a global travel alert because of an al-Qaeda terrorist threat and is shuttering its embassies and consulates throughout the Muslim world on Sunday after receiving an unspecified threat, officials said.
