Tax Payer Parasite Publisher House Of Anansi Joins Gawker To Fund Purchase Of Alleged Ford Crack Video From Drug Dealers

Update: Gawker says they haven’t been able to contact the crack dealer since Sunday… “First order of business: The last time we established contact with the people who are in possession of the video was this past Sunday, and we have not been able to reach them since.”

Is it right that a publisher on the public tit like House of Anansi fund a politically partisan act?

“We acknowledge for their financial support of our publishing program the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council, the Ontario Media Development Corporation, and the Government of Canada through the Canada Book Fund.”

Ugh I think the world’s most grimly dull author – Maggie Atwood is in their stable.

“House of Anansi and its sister company, Groundwood Books, receives almost $1,000,000 in grants each year. They come from a variety of sources and different levels of government; for instance, this year the Ontario Arts Council distributed $44,005 to Anansi and $48,385 to Groundwood; each company received $100,000 from the Ontario Media Development Corporation; and grants from the Canada Council for the Arts ranged from $6,100 to fund author tours to $41,700 support various translation projects.”
