Kevin Libin: Ed Stelmach, up to his knees in turd

You go figure out the Alberta government’s stance on freedom of thought and expression. As our editorial notes today, the province was poised to set a national standard for reforming the worst, renegade instincts of human rights commissions. Alberta voters have become uneasy with their own provincial HRC: it censured Stephen Boisson for his faith-based condemnation of homosexuality, not just fining him but, in a move hard not to see as Orwellian, actually ordering the pastor to never speak publicly of the topic again.
