Malaysia to ban ‘hot dogs’ for sounding unislamic

Good luck trying to get a Hotdog in Malaysia. Though it may be common knowledge to many that hot dogs do not contain dog meat, the Malaysian government said it will soon require food establishments to give hot dogs a different name, according to AFP on Tuesday.

Places that do not rename their hot dogs could lose halal, or Muslim dietary, certification.

If you lose your “certification” over what a food is called, instead of what it is, the certificate is ideal for use during #2.

“Where, exactly, are “hot dogs” mentioned in the Qu’ran?”
I believe that’s the Verse of the Food court. 😉

    • DavidinNorthBurnaby

Well, apparently they like their goats “hot” so it must be the “dog” part.
