No, tourism is not an act of ‘white privilege’

Why identity miserabilists hate holidaymaking.

During their first week of university, freshers are bombarded with opportunities to travel to try to make the world a better place. Adverts for ‘volunteer tourism’ can be seen across campuses. Numerous companies and NGOs offer holidays with a mission: the chance to build schools, teach children and conserve nature, all while getting to see a new country and culture.

    Tourism is pointless.
    So is camping.

Pointless perhaps, but it’s still fun.

  • Okay.

Don’t go to Cuba or Vietnam.

  • This is class warfare, plain and simple, disguised as cultural superiority.

SJWs should consider that perhaps not all cultures are equal – that is why they need assistance in the first place.

Anyone who travels to third world countries to help did wells and build schools fro people who are basically too lazy to do it themselves is a fool. Digging a well is pick and shovel work. It doesn’t take any brains or technology. If the Africans aren’t digging there own wells the only possible reason is that they don’t care enough to do it themselves.

The biggest problem with “voluntourism” is the short stay volunteers make. Staying in a place for 2 weeks causes nothing but a distraction to the native folk. Still, the money is good.
