Bulgaria bans the burqa

The new law states that clothing that conceals the face may not be worn in the institutions of Bulgaria’s central and local administrations, schools, cultural institutions, and places of public recreation, sports and communications.

Perhaps controversially the ban will also apply to houses of worship which could cause a backlash from Bulgaria’s 580,000 Muslim minority who make up around 8% of the population, as of a 2011 national census.

480 years of Ottoman slavery was more than enough.

If the Muzz don’t like it, they know where they can go.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but it’s over for the white race and Christians. Demography is destiny, immigration not even included.

I agree with the ban being applied to mosques too. These are often the first places where extremists start bullying Muslim women into covering their faces, even though it has nothing to do with religious practice.

Oh poor me. i am an 8% oppressed minority. Yeah. Right. Don’t like it? tough. Time to grow up and join the civilised world.

Sorry, but isn’t that in the picture a niqab, not a burka?
I’ve never seen anyone in the West wearing a burka, so banning them is useless. Ban the niqab and the hijab, if you wanna do something. Of course, given the demographic trends in Europe and the Western world, no one would dare doing that.
