Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police Spox: 70% of Arrested Rioters Have Out of State IDs

Thursday on CNN’s “Outfront,” Todd Walther, the spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police, told host Erin Burnett the bulk of the protesters being arrested in Charlotte were not from North Carolina, but out of state based on their IDs.

“This is not Charlotte that’s out here,” Walther said. “These are outside entities that are coming in and causing these problems. These are not protesters, these are criminals.”

I always thought that putting people up to riot was illegal or something.

    • In a nation-state that observes Rule of Law, yes. But not here.

A provision of the 1968 Civil Rights Act makes it a federal
crime, punishable by no more than a $10,000 fine and no
more than five years in prison to travel in interstate or foreign
commerce or to use any means of interstate or foreign
commerce (mail, telephone, etc.) to incite or conduct a riot.
To cross state lines in order to incite and participate in a riot
        is a federal crime.

But of course, we’d have to have a Dept. of Justice that was
interested in enforcing the laws that are on the books.
This administration has nothing but contempt for the Rule
        of Law.

        • These interstate criminals are also card carrying democrats.

Shouldn’t the government pay Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to come in talk to the protesters to quiet things down?
