Donald Trump: ‘Afghanistan is safer than some US inner cities’

Donald Trump is predicting that Hillary Clinton will copy his language and policy on national security at next week’s debate.

January 20th can’t come soon enough.

“OF COURSE we need to secure the borders against terrorists, we never said otherwise! But we’re going to do it in a Common Sense(TM) way, not at all like that RACIST Trump.”

Which would translate into a slight budget increase for more security theater (if even that), along with new politically correct directives to border and immigration officers to stop terrorists but don’t let us catch you looking at muslims funny.

Remarkably enough, every one of those snake pit cities are run by the Democrats. Coincidence I think

    • It’s the GOP’s fault for letting them be in charge so long!

      • Clausewitz

No, by and large they are “Union” towns who have been in bed with the mob and the democrats (really no difference) for so long they no longer have a moral foundation.

  • The Butterfly

The US soldier death rate in Iraq was less than the murder rate in Chicago.

    • Norman_In_New_York

The casualty rate in Iraq was not much worse than in the Mexican drug wars.

  • He’s right.

The debates promise to be entertaining, assuming that Hillary will be healthy enough to show up.

I’m kind of hoping these health problems of hers affect her seriously during the debates. These debates will be widely watched. Having her look old, weak and unable to react fast will help Trump because the media will be pushing with everything they have to ensure Trump looks bad.

P.S. If Trump wins wait for the “Hillary poisoned by Trump” conspiracy theories from the left.

    • I’m hoping Trump bribes the light man to flash a high intensity strobe at Hillary.

      • Med1

I don’t even think he would even need to bribe someone.

      • Clausewitz

He should be polite and bring her a bowl of Skittles.

    • John

The moderator should have bowl of skittles handy in case she develops a coughing fit.

I predict Hillary will have a health ‘incident’…and that her supporters will blame Trump’s misogyny for triggering it.

This campaign is more and more becoming a mirror image of the 1948 campaign, in which Truman was up against an opponent anointed by the media to win and stabbed in the back by members of his own party. Truman not only defeated Dewey to the surprise of the media, but overcame Strom Thurmond in the Deep South and Henry Wallace on the far left. Like Trump, Truman traveled the country far and wide, speaking in both big cities and small towns and revealing himself to be a man of the people. In the most famous incident, someone in the audience shouted during a moment of applause, “Give ’em hell, Harry!” Truman replied, “I tell the truth and they think it’s hell.” In another parallel, Truman also noticed Dewey copying his proposals. “Every time I offer a new proposal, I hear ‘Me too! Me too!’ from my opponent.”

Back then I think they actually counted votes.
