Belgium reports first case of euthanasia for a minor

A 17-year-old has been euthanized in Belgium in what is the first application of rules adopted by the country in 2014 allowing doctor-assisted death for minors of all ages, the head of the national committee for euthanasia said on Saturday.

Wim Distelmans, who chairs Belgium’s Federal Control and Evaluation Committee on Euthanasia, said in an emailed statement that the first case was reported to his committee by a local doctor last week.

He told Reuters the minor was 17, but gave no other details.

For all of those 20 something pukes who thought life would be like Logan’s Run, guess again.

    • DMB

Not Logan’s Run but Soylent Green. The main convincing point of “euthanizing” people is that man made climate change is a critical societal problem which has caused society to regress to a 3rd world living standards (rather then mass low skilled immigration).

The point I’m making is that the 20 something’s think that life will be a paradise for the young if only we could off all of the elderly. Screw the future, I want my Utopia now.

  • Gee, just a post late-term abortion.

  • Belgium has committed suicide.

My neighbour’s wife is dying of cancer, and she is dying at home as she wished. Out of the blue a worker from a local hospice showed up at their door and wanted to know if they could provide assisted dying services for her. Welcome to socialist Canada, where if they don’t murder you in the womb, they will get you when your sick.

Allow me to quote a British soldier I sometimes argue with on another forum:

It says much for them to see the constant pain which their child endured, and to make the hardest decision it is possible to make, allowing the child peace and no more pain, knowing that you would have to live your life without the one you love. We talk about how awful it is that we can put a pat out of its agony, and complain that we can not do the same for those we love. This surely is pure love!”

Do you see the sickened mentality that some folk have? He actually thinks killing his poor old crippled auntie just like killing his poor old crippled dog. Morally repugnant and so far beyond the pale that words escape me.
