‘I was disgusted’; Ont. vet caught choking, punching animals

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — The College of Veterinarians of Ontario has suspended a St. Catharines veterinarian for professional misconduct after he was caught abusing animals.

There is video at the link, it is unsettling, this monster should never be allowed to practice again.

Yes, he’s brown, and didn’t train in the civilized world.

Has it not been proven that these Pakistan people do not like dogs? Why the hell are they taking away his license for roughly only four months? He has to be banned from ever again dealing with animals. Where are the animal lovers and why are they not protesting? This makes me sick to my stomach.

The most obvious thought that comes to mind is that the police should have been informed early on and his background thoroughly investigated.

This type of thing has been ongoing for years in BC. All Indians.

They started playing the race card when the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association started going after them.

My cat nearly died when I left him at a clinic called ATLAS that has several branches for a minor issue later to find out that they were notorious with animal groups for mixing sick animals with healthy animals and threatening anyone who dares speak out against them.

Hell, it’s the same thing with Doctors and Dentists…. either Indian or Chinese
I don’t give a crap whether they are born here or not, I avoid both like the plague.

This man’s Sikh. Have had Chinese doctors for years (Canadian-born) and they’ve been great. Wouldn’t generalize. Have had some awful Caucasian doctors & dentists over the years.

Nah, the ones getting charged or having licenses revoked for super nasty shit like running unlicenced dental clinics with filthy equipment or resusing things like needles, molesting patients have an overwhelming tendency to be third worlders. Caregivers caught abusing elderly in homes tend to be black

I agree about Chinese doctors from personal experience, but I have also from personal experience noted how much Indo-Canadians (usually Sikh) are terrified of dogs and dislike pets in general. I have so often refused to sell them lambs that they wanted to butcher on my farm, since I once made that mistake. I don’t have a problem with butchering or eating meat, but even an animal you intent to eat is entitled to humane treatment in my books.

I don’t know much about the Sikh religion, but I know halal slaughter requires the animal to be bled to death from a slit throat rather than killed instantly. It can take several minutes and is painful and terrifying for the animal. I have read that kosher slaughter, which is similar, is at least quicker as kosher butchers use a sharper knife that completely severs the main artery in the neck. But the animal has to be conscious beforehand in both cases. It’s standard Canadian practice now to stun animals unconscious with an electric shock before slaughter.

There are many fine vets from China and India but to be really good they have to get their training in the West; the vet industry in the developing world is totally unregulated. Casual cruelty to animals, as well as just ignorant fear, superstition, and dislike of them, is rife in both Chinese and Indian society, also a grim reality of the developing world, but many people there still do have pets and are devoted to them, and I would expect someone who disliked animals to choose a different profession. Most of the vets I’ve dealt with for the past few years have been Chinese or Indian; it’s just a demographic reality of where I live. So far I have no less reason to trust them than Canadian-born vets. Let’s not forget that arsehole woman vet in the U.S. who went around killing cats with a bow and arrow was white.
