World Vision charity pulls out of Gaza after chief indicted for aiding Hamas

World Vision International, one of the major NGO’s serving Gaza, has laid off 120 employees and closed its Gaza office after the head of the charity in the region was indicted by the Israelis for diverting money into the coffers of Hamas.

    Alan Thicke lied to me.

The question is, did they do this because the chief supports Hamas or because people now know that the chief supports Hamas. I don’t trust these international charities.

Their first reaction was a pearl clutch and official disbelief and denial. And I agree with your mistrust. Having met a number of international aid employees in Haiti, most NGOs strike me as a bunch self-righteous, condescending busy bodies.

I expect that in six months time, World Vision will discover an desperate need for aid in Gaza, and create a new aid entity called something like “World Vision, West Palestine’. Such an organisation would need around 120 employees, and there might happen to be a similar number of experienced unemployed people as well as office space similarly unused for six months. If anyone asks, they will be told that ‘World Vision, Gaza’ branch no longer exists and that the new organisation is a completely new branch of World Vision. The name change is so that search engine searches will not find information about the misdeeds of the old branch.

Of course, I could be completely wrong: the ongoing ‘need’ for aid might be so great that a new branch might be created in three months or less.

In the primitive muslim shit-holes these organizations now tend to stick in their front windows for fundraising, nothing can happen without bribery in particular and all forms of corruption in general. Gaza has been gangster ruled for many decades.
