The age of belligerent victimhood

It is often said these days that we live in an ‘age of rage’, a time of righteous fury that comes in multifarious guises: Islamic fundamentalism; hard-right populism and left-wing Chavism in America and Europe; the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement; censorious students; extremist gender-politics warriors; and, as witnessed after the Brexit vote, youthful anger directed against the Baby Boomer generation.

  • Only idiots loudly proclaim that they are feeble half-wits and that is something to be lauded.

Only thugs make sure that everyone hears that point.

High-pressured fire hoses is what I am trying to say.

Total BS in the claim that all are equally guilty. There are no examples of rage by “hard-right populism”. The perpetual enraged and resorting to violence types in today’s world belong either to Islam or the Left.

Hard right populism is not sitting on the sidelines waiting for their rage moment.
We’re busy working and taking care of our families.
But, if the shit hits the fan we have pitchforks and torches and we’re coming out for good old fashioned hippie-cue.
      Strange fruit indeed.

    I’ve always hated the boomers.
They voted for the first Trudeau again and again even when they could see what he was doing to the country.
I don’t believe it’s a coincidence when my generation got the franchise we also got Mulroney.

Hey, don’t blame all of us. He was elected by the long haired, sandal wearing, VW microbus driving, wannabe progressive types who, were trying to create a Canadian version of Camelot complete with what they saw as a young vibrant Kennedy type and his beautiful wife. In reality what they got but were to stupid to see was a self absorbed, narcissist, communist lawyer with no respect for Canadian history, the Canadian people, the rule of law and who possessed a very warped understanding of government fiscal responsibility along with his embarrassment of a bed hopping hippie wife.

Not exactly Camelot was it? But to be honest, he managed to bamboozle not only the drug addled boomers but their idiot parents as well because, back then people voted religiously for “their” party and TBH you could have run Satan himself for the Liberals and they would have voted for him. Hell, in retrospect maybe they did.

        I know.
I read all about it in the newspapers I was delivering as a kid in the late seventies.

But it’s not victimhoood. It’s naked aggression in the guise of self righteousness. Just like any other insane suicide cult.

There little difference between social justice warriors and the Jonestown massacre on that score. It’s just that SJWs are more pampered and spoiled.
