Saudis and Extremism: ‘Both the Arsonists and the Firefighters’

WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump don’t agree on much, but Saudi Arabia may be an exception. She has deplored Saudi Arabia’s support for “radical schools and mosques around the world that have set too many young people on a path towards extremism.” He has called the Saudis “the world’s biggest funders of terrorism.”

The first American diplomat to serve as envoy to Muslim communities around the world visited 80 countries and concluded that the Saudi influence was destroying tolerant Islamic traditions. “If the Saudis do not cease what they are doing,” the official, Farah Pandith, wrote last year, “there must be diplomatic, cultural and economic consequences.”

How about letting the Iranians and Saudis slug it out in Iraq-Iran Redux 2?

We can sell the Saudis the weaponry and then they go and fight the Iranian. That way the money goes to exploding ordinance and tanks instead of the ranters and mosques

I am not one to promote racial stereotypes. However, I have never met a Saudi that I could trust. Not one. And I have dealt with hundreds on behalf of clients over the years. Saudis are the scummiest bottom-of-the-barrel dregs you could never wish to meet.

If somehow the oil tap could be shut off, they would be back to riding camels and living in tents in a few years with the wreckage of modern civilization laying all about; aircraft, automobiles and sand drifting over the infrastructure because they have no idea how to maintain these things and can no longer afford the hired help that does.
