3 bureaucrats spent $12Gs dining in Paris, and we picked up the bill

OTTAWA — A trio of Environment Canada bureaucrats ate their way through more than $12,000 worth of fine Parisian cuisine during last fall’s big climate change conference.

Those three alone accounted for about 1/10th of the $129,000 in meal claims by the entire 155-strong Canadian delegation to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, also known as COP21, held in Paris from Nov. 30 to Dec. 12 last year.

The Natural Governing Party is in office, let the good times roll again!

    • Green hypocrites tell us the biggest thing one can do for “global warming” is eat vegan.

      I’m betting the $12K wasn’t vegan.

They are entitled to their entitlements. And I see the sunny ways cabinet minister didn’t just blow money in Paris, but the media is reporting she has spent thousands on photos of herself at other meetings over the past few months. But the CBC is busy blaming it on that evil Hitler Harper.

We also sent a delegation twice the size of Australia’s, the UK’s, and the Americans’ but I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that it was in glamorous Paris and Justin was newly-elected.

Kids going crazy and partying while the parents are away for the weekend – kind of like that. The 39% who voted for them are getting exactly what they deserve – to be shafted. But for the rest of us, this really sucks.

$64 per person per day. It’s still a lot.

The very fact that they send a mission of 155 people tells me that it’s a reward or gift to them at the cost of the taxpayer.

Paris is expensive but often “negotiable” if you get my drift. Did their boss(es) also attend by any chance?

Those Michelin stars can be pricey — the more stars, the higher the bill, and the cost of a good bottle of Bordeaux from the right vintage can break the bank. (sigh)

What the fuck were they eating? Gold leaf??

all climate opportunists should be required to exist on a third world caloric intake of 1500 calories per day. it will give them a taste of what triumphant globalism will look (and taste) like

In the private sector these people would just be fired

The press will be all over this like they were Bev Oda’s orange juice bill, just you wait…
