Australia: Up To $27 million of taxpayers’ money for childcare sent to ISIS

CHILDCARE claims totalling more than $27 million of taxpayers’ money are suspected to have been sent to Islamic State terrorists.

Counter-terrorism police and seven other agencies are investigating if the childcare benefits and rebates are being sent overseas to help ISIS and other terrorist groups after a 10-month inquiry culminated in a raid on the Lakemba family day care business of brothers Mohammad and Ibrahim Omar, aged 25 and 27, who operate more than 600 in-home daycare providers.

The tip of the ISberg, I’ll bet.

  • Australia is home to many beasts that could kill its inhabitants: sharks, octopi, spiders, snakes, ants, Vegemite.

It’s time that the Australian penal system avail itself of these creatures and use them on these guys.

    • Good idea – and it’s eco-friendly!

That was done during the convict era. Trial Bay (NSW) still has the shackles in the rocks by the ocean to which felons were chained, to be eaten by crabs. So there is precedent.

You forgot crocs, which are the deadliest beasts.

Vegemite got me a good laugh.

      • My dad loves that stuff.

          I have never tried it.

          • Take some yeast, mix with it Worcestershire sauce and swish it around in your mouth.

            I love Worcestershire sauce.
I put so much of it in my virgin caesars that it turns dark.
Working banquets for so many years gave me a taste for it.
Between six and seven at a wedding that’s the only thing you can eat until the leftovers are available during speeches.

          • Worcestershire is fine as a base. I used it above to roughly describe what Vegemite tastes like.

      • An acquired taste, according to some.

My brother brought some back from Oz and I guess the stuff tastes better upside down. 🙂

Why is childcare benefits being allowed out of the country at all?

    • Alain

If it is like Canada they wouldn’t even know, since the cheques are mailed to whatever address was given and the person actually living at the address just send on the money, usually for a percentage. It was considered an affront to their dignity to have them show up in person to collect the money.

  • Exile1981

I wonder how many welfare moms are sending their benefits $$ to the baby daddy fighting with isis?

And this is news now? This has been common knowledge for ages, the amount of rorts of the childcare system by Muslims in OZ is breathtaking. One woman or “Family” starts caring for 2 or 3 kids then employs another Muslim and then another and then another as the children increase and all the while having their hands out for more money from the government as the numbers increase, but the kids are cared for in squalid conditions with little or no supervision or food. It is one of the biggest Muslim con jobs (apart from the BS Halal certification) that is currently being staged in OZ, and the government departments are just falling over themselves to throw our money at these parasites.

  • Just another liberal social program with “unintended consequences”.

And the libs want more of the same – or you are a racist.
