• Typical.

  • Ron MacDonald

In 1968 a Canada sailor received a Dear John letter from his girlfriend in Halifax so he attempted to steal a T-28 at a US Naval Air Station. He crashed into a hanger killing himself.

  • WalterBannon

Only the Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board, investigates air craft crashes, and not the RCMP.

If the RCMP is involved it is because there is probable cause that this is a criminal or terror related crash, and not just safety or pilot error related.

A muslim stealing a plane is highly likely to be a failed act of terrorism.

    • Very possible.

    • andycanuck

I was wondering why this got so little airtime and no newspaper coverage that I saw after I read about it in a ‘news in brief’ paragraph on CP24. Now I know why.

      • Rosenmops

This is the first I have heard of it right here.

      • moraywatson

These days, when the authorities suppress the name of a person who dies in ‘unusual’ circumstances, the deceased is highly likely to have been a member of Club ‘Med.

  • moraywatson

What is it about Peterborough and muslims, and things crashing and burning ?

  • ed

“I can’t believe it. Can’t believe it. It’s unimaginable,” he told Global News’ Cindy Pom in an exclusive interview Thursday. “I mean how [can it] happen like this?”

It’s physics, asshole. Slow an airplane down enough, and it comes down.

    • Clink9

Just saw “Dad” on Global News. Some serious inbreeding going on.

      • Rosenmops

        They are all inbred lunatics.

  • Slickfoot

Yup… Cops say ‘nothing to see here folks, move along please’, and daddy sez ‘he had mental issues’… So it’s no big deal, we can all relax, whew.

    • Waffle

Amazing how quickly this mental health meme has caught on, isn’t it? Daddy said he was schizophrenic.

  • Sharkibark
  • robins111

Isn’t it interesting that they never mentioned his name till it became apparent the RCMP were all over this incident..

  • lolwut?

Robert Spencer on the Global Outbreak of Mental Illness

    • Rosenmops

      Islam IS a mental disorder.

  • That’s funny because the RCMP said there was a security issue.

    • moraywatson

‘No national security aspect.’ That sounds like weasel-words. If the plane crashed into a farmer’s field that’s a ‘local’ security issue ? But if it had been crashed into the CN Tower … ?

      • Someone in the RCMP has trouble getting his story straight.

One simply cannot backtrack after that.

  • Everyone Else

I have a Commercial Pilot’s License. No way a know-nothing can almost land a plane.

That’s the wreckage of a low-level botched landing, typically caused by hitting electric wires.

Despite what Daddy says the kid had some flight training, if only with a family friend.

    • How I envy you. I really do.

    • How I envy you. I really do.

If I could figure out how to make that pay….

      • El Martyachi
        • Thank you, Marty 🙂

          • El Martyachi
          • I’m not sure that being a WWII Fighter Ace is an option open to me at this point, Marty.

          • El Martyachi

That’s actually him though, sound-barrier-breaking space-program-pioneering rocktman there tweeting on twitter. It’s must-watch tweet.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            Great tip!
            Now following.

          • El Martyachi
          • El Martyachi

C’mon… how is your mind not blown at this point? Inconceivable!

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            Not an option?
            Women can now fly combat.

When I turn 18, i’m going to run away from home, stow away on a ‘liberty ship’ going to Great Britain and then join the RAF a full 18 months before the U.S. enters the war.
            My plan is solid!

  • tom_billesley

    No ‘National Security Issue’
Apart from muslims being in the country, that is.

    • moraywatson

When ‘allah knows best’, but his best is shit, the mental anguish becomes insufferable.

  • John

Strange, nothing in the news about this outside of the GTA it seems.
