Racial tensions flare in Sasketchewan after shooting of Indigenous man

After an afternoon spent swimming in a Saskatchewan river, five friends piled into the car for the 50-minute ride home.

As they headed to the Red Pheasant First Nation, a tyre blew out. They pulled into a nearby farm, hoping to find someone who could help them.

Their account of what happened next has ignited racial tensions in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan and laid bare the divide that exists between some communities.

  • I refuse to listen to Europeans’ views on aboriginals as I would refuse to listen to gated white liberals’ views on aboriginals.

If they’re not in your backyard, you know jack.

This is akin to Palestinians’ fake kids’ deaths and black thug shootings: an overblown report used as propaganda.

    • I am always curious about the Guardian’s view of Canada, even if only for the laughs.

I notice that they’ve omitted the car the joy-riders crashed into although that’s probably covered with the ‘police investigating property crimes’ line (or however it reads exactly).

Or the fact the one person in the vehicle took almost 2 days to come forward to the cops.

There is a lot more going on I think.

The one person claimed they had a flat and the other claimed mechanical breakdown.

      • The Guardian is as insulated as other leftist rags.

  • JaedoDrax

Five guys in the vehicle, and not one of them is capable of changing a tire on the side of the road?

    • Alain

That is assuming that they were telling the truth about having a flat to begin with.

    • Exile1981

      3 guys and 2 girls.

    • G

      Changing a tire involves work.
You know Indians and work get along.

  • Exile1981

interesting that they were investigated for a series of thefts.

Like a lot of things, the media elites only report things that fit their agenda. For instance most media outlets ignored the recent story in the National Post about a dangerous offender whiny indian, who was allowed to go to a Pow Wow. He of course quickly disappeared from his escort and hasn’t been seen since.

I blame Maclean’s for not having enough (any?) Natives on-staff.

Racial tensions flare where? Spelling is important.

The problem with First Nations is that they’re not diverse enough. Perhaps each band could get a quota of Trudeau’s migrants. Enrichment shouldn’t be a white privilege..

      That’s brilliant.

CBC is claiming racists are flooding his Facebook with comments.

Nothing there now, nothing there 2 days ago
and his Facebook account is locked so only friends can comment.

Brad Wall fell for it and posted about it on his Facebook without bothering
to check if they story was even true.
