I’m sure the Green Party and the United Church are outraged.

      Of course, what else.

Palestine has never been “Palestinian” territory to begin with. A Roman emperor named Hadrian named it ” Palaestina” as an insult to the Jews, since it was the named after the Philistines, the ancient enemy of Israel. Remember the story of David & Goliath. Note that the Philistines were defeated a very long time ago.

The Arabs living in the area now, immigrated there for jobs along with the Jews who took the “barren wasteland”- Mark Twain and made it into the very fertile land it is now through irrigation and draining of the swampland. it is the equivalent of the Muslims who have moved to Toronto in recent years, claiming that they should be given all of Ontario as their land, less than 50 years later, claiming that they have always lived there and the land does not rightfully belong to Ontario but to them.

In addition, as soon as Israel was declared a nation, the Arabs attacked the next day and have been doing so ever since. There are no “occupied lands” in Gaza & the West Bank. since Israel left the areas completely and destroyed all the Israeli homes in the areas, moving the people out completely. they did leave the greenhouses etc., so that the “Palestinians’ would not have to build them for themselves. Of course, the Palestinians destroyed them because they had been owned by Jews. The Palestinians have done nothing with it except shoot at Israeli cities from that land. The fake Palestinians are not interested in peace or in having their own state. ( As we can see), their administration is not doing anything to help the people. Israel does more for them then their own leaders.

The problem with land ownership which is part and parcel of the Torah, Bible and Quran is this Western notion of land domination.

The fact is the Greeks started calling that area and the people that inhabited it as Palestine.

I actually believe that it is hard to tell where the ancient Israelis went because based on historical evidence because in 800 AD there was a nation called Khazaria and after that nation ceased to exist the people from that nation migrated to Russia, Poland and stayed in Eastern Europe. The ancient Israelites became Arabs, Muslims and it is co-mingled.

Historians should be the ones that truly find out migrations and who converted because there was 3000 years of Semitic ownership of the lands where Israel were before the state of Israel.

The fact is those that say land ownership belongs to those that are the most zealous are caving into faith rather than international law.

IF you happened to read Koestler’s fantasy, “TheThirteenth Tribe”, t.hen you would know that he thought the 9th Century Khazarian coverts to Judaism could have formed the basis for Hungarian Jewry.

Further, IF you had even skimmed the history of the Jews in the diaspora after their conquest by Rome, circa 70 CE, you would know that those who who not slaughtered, were taken as slaves and were scattered throughout the (now) European lands held by Rome.

And yes, some Jews did co-mingle/assimilate with Arabs past and present. Jews have been “co-mingling” since the beginning — either willingly or forced.

        • Billy Bob Thornton

I am a big fan of Roman history, Greek history and Medieval history because I value the time periods immensely being an Italian and such, but as far as the Khazarians go they converted to I guess make a homeland for Jews at the time. It is very conceivable that many people that even had ancestry of the ancient Hebrews did go and learn new languages and moved to Khazaria, but that was 900 years after the Roman conquest of Judea which is what the Romans called Israel. It is hard to know what happened since yes there was persecution by Rome and they went after the minorities. They could have went to Azum and other southern and eastern areas not held by Rome as well.

Do not forget about Cyrus and Darius before or during the Roman Republic.

My point of what I was trying to say is that faith should never determine who owns land. What is true is that those that have the big stick tend to write history and lay out for the most part the rules and even yes defy the rules. It is true that Palestinians did scatter to the four corners of the Earth, and I do believe that Israel will occupy more of Syria and probably take the remaining Palestinian land because the West allows them to do so.

Annexing is not allowed by international law. We can have the debate about what Palestinians are, but they were the people that held the British mandate from 1919 to 1947.

LOLOLOL!!!! Billy Bob — you should have went and learned some history.

          • dukestreet

They didn’t hold anything. No one lived on it until it was given back to Israel. Nobody was there. it was nothing. Israel has worked very hard to create what they have and any land they have gained since then, was won when they won the wars forced on them by the Palestinians.

You are aware I assume, of how many times, since Israel was given that barren land, with nothing on it and irrigated it into the very fruitful land it is now, have agreed to sign a peace treaty with the Fake Palestinians but, the Palestinians have refused. Since they have continually attacked Israel, from the very land that they have given to the Palestinians, even though Israel won the wars. Do you expect other nations to sign over land so that they can be attacked from it? Israel wants peace as we have seen from all the treaties they have signed but every time the treaty is broken by the Fakers not by Israel.

I thought the thirteenth tribe was in Battlestar Galactica.

    • Slickfoot

      So they are Philistinins?

  • Spatchcocked

Well….in point of fact it WAS never there…’s a made up place….like Tir Nan Og.

  • Spatchcocked

Whereas Israel is real….been there for thousands of years.

And it’s long existence is manifestly provable….

    Billy rhymes with silly
    Bob rhymes with knob
And Thornton rhymes with Soros…..or very nearly.

    • Billy Bob Thornton

It is a fake name. I am an Italian that lives in the GTA with an Italian last name. I thought of the name when I started commenting on here because it described hicks to me, and that is what most rural people in the West are like. That is why I thought about it.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

        Really, Sling Blade?
What the hell do you know about people in the West that the Toronto Star and the CBC haven’t told you?
        Fucking Guido.

        • Billy Bob Thornton

I do not like the Star or the CBC as they are mainstream organizations that defend the mainstream class and the political elites. I believe however that Western Canadians only vote Conservatives because previous generations did just like Liberals. My main point of that comment is they are anti-abortion and for massive gun rights, when Canada has never had universal gun ownership or anti-abortionism. These are imports from the days of Reform-Alliance. The Canadian Action Party or the Progressive Canadian party which I have memberships for both tend to believe that the mainstream will continuously divide until all nations are ruled by technocrats and they play on people’s worth desires. Sad but true!

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Guns are a necessary part of living in a rural area.
Wolves and bears can kill you.
Gun control does not control the lawless in the cities.
There is no law in Canada.
A woman can choose to abort a viable child any time up until the minute it is born.
Such is the vacuum of abortion law in this country.
You are both wilfully obtuse and guilty of employing misdirection.

        • Billy Bob Thornton

And yes I ran for the Canadian Action party in the past, but I have both memberships because I lost faith in the political class, and how is Trumpism going to fix Canada. I say this all the time that following the USA is folly and is just selling out our sovereignty even more. We do not have a second amendment; we are not a military power; we have always been tolerant; we have always been for low debts and keeping strong social programs; and we are a nation of laws and of MP independence. Following the Westminster model will strengthen the nation!

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Canada is screwed with Trudeau and Trump is the counterweight.
