Track and field starts at the Olympics – but virtually nobody turns up
Hmmm, this looks like a rally for Hillary….
But better attended.
With more English speakers.
And no one is booing.
No flag burners here.
Much smaller event, but I and most of my fencing club had tickets to the medal round of the fencing tournament. It was held in a beautiful gym that was built for the Pan Am games, and is a U of T athletic center now. Anyway, most of the tickets were given away to game staff, voluteers and various hangers on, who never bothered to show up. It was a sold out event. I don’t know how many tried to buy tickets and couldn’t get them, I got my tickets about six months before the games. It would have been a lot if the venue was 1/4 full.
This is probably half empty for the same reason. Instead of selling tickets to people who actually want to be there, they give them away to people who aren’t interested enough to show up.
Cronyism in action. Shame.
how many brazilians can afford a ticket?
Do tickets cost more than Brazilians there? Inquiring minds want to know.
The capybaras are at the golf course.
My brother told me that people eat them.
Where Is Everybody? Maybe they’re at home reading Zikapedia.
The bread and circus mess in Rio isn’t turning out so well for the elites in the West. Maybe they should have Justin down there showing his chest, and Sophie can sing them a song.
She’d empty the joint.
Or smoke it.
…tons of pig…
Pok, I love pok, mostly stir fly
No pok! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdguyMJprsA
Damn but they’re funny.
I love that;)
Kind of sad really. One has to wonder about the future of large international sporting events in general, especially given all the cultural enrichment taking place around the world.
As successful as the Pan Am games….
The 1999 Pan Am Games killed the wedding business that summer.
