Australia’s Muslim migrants on edge, race relations falter with rise of the right

Race relations in Australia have deteriorated so badly that some community leaders fear violence will erupt in a political vacuum where the new government, elected with a bare majority, must rely on the support of parties that have fomented the discord.

  • Jay Currie

“So it is not entirely surprising that many ordinary Australians, and even morning TV show presenters, have come out in favour of Hanson’s Muslim immigration ban, stirring fierce debate on prime-time television and on social media.

Her unexpectedly influential position after an indecisive election – Hanson and a small handful of others will likely form a bloc whose vote will determine the passage or rejection of legislation – mean that mainstream politicians ignore her at their peril.”

Plus, Ms. Hanson’s proposal of a ban on Muslim immigration has the merit of going to the “root causes” the liberal left keeps going on about.

    • Minicapt

Given the number of Aussie vs Mohammedan clashes instigated by the Aussies can be estimated to be almost zero …

    • Brett_McS

It’s not just Hanson and other independents. The other party in the (permanent) conservative coalition is the National Party, which is rural based and more socially conservative. They not only didn’t lose any seats in the election but gained a seat. So they are now a much bigger presence in the government.

      • Jay Currie

Well for Heavens sake don’t tell Turnbull…next thing you know there will be a party room spill and he’ll be out on his ass. The Aussies don’t muck about.

        • Brett_McS

          Turncoat. *spit*

The situation in Australia sounds more promising than in Canada. What is wrong with our “conservatives”? Why haven’t we seen the rise of a “far right” alternative? The CUCKS who make up our “conservative” party did not object to the treasonous action of Justin Trudeau of bringing 35,000 Mulsim RAPEfugees to Canada. The ONLY objections from the “conservatives” have been related to the welfare of the RAPEfugees, e.g. “poor RAPEfugees” had to spend too long in hotels” “poor refugees don’t have English language instruction” etc.

    • Jay Currie

      There are conservatives in Canada???

Well Maxime Bernier, but who the heck knows anything about him but for the big breasted biker chick and some super duper wooper secret papers left by accident.

We have a year or two of JT left to endure, the coronation of some cuck like McKay and then….Reform 2.0. Speed the day.

      • Justin St.Denis

Jay, you and I and my wife are the only living, breathing Canadian conservatives I can name anymore.

        • There are rumored to be at least 2 in Toronto. That’s a little hard to believe, though.

          • andycanuck

Hey! There’s me, BCF and Kathy! That’s three!

    • Brett_McS

You need a good opposition leader. Australia was lucky to have Tony Abbott in opposition. He did such a brilliant job that the government (and the media) spent more time obsessing over his proposals and ideas than anything else. It was like he was the government, so when the election came around it was sort of natural that he would win.

  • Norman_In_New_York

Funny, but the Muslims interviewed are growing aware that they are not wanted in Australia but still feel entitled to invade that country. No expressions of allegiance or any desire to assimilate.

    • Ho Hum

I think knowing that they are unwanted just emboldens the Muslims. They love to piss non-Muslims off.

  • Dana Garcia

Borders should be easy to maintain in an island nation. Just sayin’.

    ..”Australia’s Aborigines were administered under
flora and fauna laws until then and remain far behind the rest of the
population in literacy, health and economic standards” ..primarily due to their astoundingly low IQ of 62, and in the face of being afforded every conceivable advantage.
    ..Just sayin’..

    • Justin St.Denis

You took the words right outta my memory files. Australian aboriginals have the lowest average IQ of any indigenous population in the world. BTW, I think 72 is the cut-off point by North American standards. Anything below qualifies as “idiot” or “moron” and in need of lifelong assistance and support.

That’s uncommon strange. UK Reuters didn’t seem to mind when the (IIRC) one Green senator (rep by pop!) was affecting legislation a couple of governments ago but is upset by this.

    P.S. Pommy bastards!
