‘We have to fight this war’ Hollande takes immediate action in Normandy (TAKE NOTE MERKEL)

The French president was quick to arrive at the scene in the town of Saint Etienne du Rouvray after two attackers, allegedly shouting “Allah Akbar”, stormed a church and took hostages at around 10am local time.

Speaking at the scene, the president said France was “at war” with the barbaric Islamic State and slammed what he described as a “vile terrorist attack”.

He called for the country to fight the war against ISIS “by all means”.

  • vimy

    Well……F%cking do it already.

  • John

Well Hollande invoked the ‘by all means necessary’ line about 18 months ago after the Hebdo murders. He can’t do anything about this

Islam in France has become a hornets nest, and the country’s leaders just keep getting stung every time they turn around.

And one wonders why France is protecting come 1,000 mosques when the most places of worship targeted by Muslims are churches and synagogues. The latter have been protected since Jan 2015, but churches are still wide open for attack.

    • John Boy

I’m waiting for him to say as his first step he is removing all police protection from Jewish areas, schools and synagogues. As his second step he is demanding all Jews be expelled from Israel.
Hollande expects his measures will keep the French safer at least until all the French Jews are dead and he gets his retirement checks from Iran and Qatar.

      • John

Yeah, he’s so damned clueless he just might do something like that. Don’t protect the country, indulge the jihadist’s Jew hatred..

  • ismiselemeas

France doesn’t have enough soldiers to protect its synagogues AND churches.

    • Etobicoke_Gladiator

France doesn’t have enough soldiers to protects its major tourist attractions, i.e. museums, historic buildings, cathedrals such as Notre Dame, museums like the Louvre and Musee d’Orsay, to say nothing of Jewish community centres, synagogues, schools, and cemetaries.

I was in France for two weeks and returned a few weeks ago. It is wretched and getting worse.

The French have a major problem on their hands. Perhaps only the National Front can solve this crisis but given the demographics I am quite certain they cannot secure national power in a democratic election.

      • ismiselemeas

The sun has set on France.

      • Linda1000

Does the Metro still stink of urine and vomit and is there still doggy poo all over the sidewalks? I never mastered the art of the sixth sense of how to not step in it. That’s what I remember most about Paris besides it being damp and cold in March.

        • Etobicoke_Gladiator

It’s smelly and hot in the summer, the Eiffel Tower is swarming with Muslims – a European Mecca for them! – and there are almost no Parisians in the city, and few French tourists visiting Paris in the summer. Yuck. I assume the dogshit necessitates actual living Parisians and there actual haram dogs, too… Maybe they’re in the country or staying indoors. France sucks. Paris sucks even more.

          • Linda1000

Huh, I don’t remember seeing any recognizable muslims in Paris when I was there for about ten days in 1990, no hijabi head scarfs and we walked, travelled on the Metro all over the city. I much preferred the French people outside of Paris or the far suburbs as they were more friendly. Travelled on the TGV to Nice, stayed overnight, didn’t really like it either and then continued by train to Rome.
The last time I was in London, England (2001) for about a week, I don’t remember running into black covered women either and I spent a lot of time on Oxford St. shopping and taking the Tube. Now, if you go by the news or pictures, they seem to be all over the place in London. I did notice the high density of people in the city though. Went walking through SoHo one night just to gawk at people and the sex shops. There were swarms of people on the streets (must have been in a no car area). I remember getting separated from my friend, didn’t have a clue as to where I was, it was dark and I just stood there frozen for a minute or so until he came back to get me. I was so panicked, I insisted on leaving and getting back to a normal street immediately. lol

      • Rosenmops

Apparently 25% of teenagers in France are Muslim. They will soon be of voting age. France will be the first European country to fall to Islam.

        • Linda1000

Then Germany, the next with the most muslims as a percentage of total population, or maybe Italy, Spain. If Britain actually manages to exit the EU and does something about closing its borders, they might have a chance of survival.
As for Canada, we’ll be lucky to survive four years of Trudope but won’t survive eight and I don’t see another political party to fight him yet.

        • FactsWillOut

Unless they vote in a leader who will round ’em all up and stick them in ghettos with armbands, etc.

        • Oh my God.

          • Liberal Progressive

Don’t worry, Justin has promised he can outdo France!

          • Etobicoke_Gladiator

            Sad but true. *sigh*

        • Etobicoke_Gladiator

I am not 100% sure about that, and so won’t bet my halal baguette on that proposition quite yet. Maybe the UK and shari-law Londonistan will go first, or maybe Belgistan? Hard to say. In any event, the near and distant future of France looks grim.

  • GrimmCreeper

Talk’s cheap. And as soon as any military engagement gets difficult out come the white flags. Stop talking and start shooting. No freakin’ prisoners.

    • Alain

Yes, talk is cheap. As we don’t even have that, what does that make us in Canada?

      • FactsWillOut

I tend to think that the French have more balls than the Canadians.

  • Daviddowntown

He called for the country to fight the war against ISIS “by all means”.

And that includes spending $10,000 a month on his haircuts.

    • Linda1000

Makes one wonder what are the extras that come with Hollande’s haircuts? He should change shampoo because whatever he is using, his hair is still thinning on top towards the forehead.

      • John

Had Hollande a full head of hair he’d be paying $20,000 a month.

  • Exile1981

this is nothing but more posturing designed to keep voters satisfied until the next election.

  • LauraS

So, is he going to cut off benefits to all immigrants? Will he encourage French citizens to arm themselves. Will he boost the ranks of the police/military? Will he insist that French judges throw the book at those convicted of terrorism, aiding terrorists, or funding terror organizations? Will he enact new laws banning sharia and the building of mosques? Will he close the door to immigrants/refugees from Islamic countries?

So much he COULD do, and so little that is actually being done. Hashtag Pathetic.

  • FactsWillOut

    Fucking idiot.
What is the army gonna do, follow every Muslim around in case he gets into a truck?
The only way to protect all the soft targets is to harden them. The only way to do that is to allow folk to carry weapons.
Everything else is BS and misdirection.

  • ntt1

They will get absolutely nowhere until they accept that the problem is Islam .the terrorist reads exactly the same death tract as theso called moderate there needs to be a metric for determining depth of fervour , until then safety dictates that all Muslims be treated as hostiles

  • irishrus

If he declares war… he’ll steal Trump’s thunder if not action

  • Jabberwokk

It’s the 4rth quarter and you just found out your playing a game Mr. Hollande.
