‘No evidence Nice lorry attacker linked to extremist network’

Authorities say Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year-old Tunisian living in Nice, had become recently and rapidly radicalised.

bouhlelEvening Standard: Nice attack: Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel was not an ISIS ‘soldier’

  • So who was he talking to before he drove into people?

  • Clink9

It’s all just a big misunderstanding like a 70’s sitcom.

He was probably just feeling alienated.

  • caliroxanne

The “extremist network” is called Islam!

  • Slickfoot

This was not a case of spontaneous self Jihadulation, he managed to send approximately $100,000 USD back to family members in Tunisia in the last month or two… Somebody paid him, and he didn’t think he would survive.

  • Hard Little Machine

He was a lone wolf – which is why the French have arrested 6 people.
He was not an extremist – which is why 3 people in his close family were already in prison in Tunisia for Islamic extremism.
He was not Muslim – which is why he was screaming Allahu Akbar.

This media shit is now so over the top, it elicits nothing but groans and laughter. Like that media guy in Baghdad claiming Sadam was winning, and in the background you could see American tanks.

I really wish the Nice attack happened somewhere else. Every time I read a headline I see nice rather than Nice and for a few seconds my brain wobbles.

…Bono , Elton John near massacre
“local residents have questioned the decision to launch special rescue
missions of celebrities who were nearly half a mile away from the Nice

    • Ed

Well in Elton’s case, it was to protect him from being thrown off the roof of a 5 story building.

But of course ISIS does not even exist. Individual members are all just individuals acting on their own (together).
