I was almost afraid to click on the Comments section after reading this piece and almost fell off my chair when I saw there were 541 (!!!) well-written, thoughtful comments almost all (from the ones I was able to read) approving of the Leave vote. I checked again just now — there are more than 650!!! Unless I am very wrong, this bodes well for a future referendum here in Canada, but time will tell (as always).

    • Exile1981

It gave me hope but then I realized the drones likely would still vote for what the union tells them to vote for

      • Linda1000

Cdns. need some flash-bang grenades planted under their asses and even that likely wouldn’t help.

        • Alain

Give Canadians a true voice such as a referendum, and I wager you would be pleasantly surprised.

          • lolwut?

Exactly, that’s why the MSM like the CBC disables or heavily censors comments on their sites and polls are conducted in such as way to get their result they want .

They hope so long as people are unaware there are many people who agree with them they will just give up and go with the flow….

The Internet, Trump and now Brexit are putting a major scare into them…. they are losing their grip.

      • Alain

I disagree for the simple reason that at present Canadian voters have no real alternative. I also have friends who are union members, because they have no choice, and who would never listen to what their union said.

  • Alain

Looking at the majority of comments there is hope for Canada. I am surprised they didn’t close off the comment option seeing how it was going with thinking level-headed people far outnumbering the typical leftist idiots.

I found the page crashed and booted me out several times, but I was able to read many of the comments…. encouraging… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the ‘Remain Campaign’ was lost in the back alleys of Rotherham…

    • That was a huge aspect that the press chooses to ignore for some reason.

I wish the Queen would give Justine a really hard smack on the head with her purse. Sadly, not even that would help. Of course, Farage is correct as prat-brats Ozero and Trudope had no business trying to influence the referendum outcome in Britain. They were trying to help their crybaby, snot-fit, uppity elite pal Cameron but it backfired splendidly. As for the comments, I think Cdns. do a lot of bitching but continue to vote for the same old idiotic politicians. It’s breathtaking how election outcomes are repeated over and over in Canada.

    • I wish the Queen would sic he Corgis on PM Useful Idiot.

      • Linda1000

Never thought of those Corgis of hers. I think they were originally bred to be rat hunters

    From argyle5663:

“Here in Canada we see prominent neoliberal Conservatives like Jason Kenney and Tony Clement signaling their support for the “Leave” victory, even though much of what their party did while in power, including maintaining Canada’s mass immigration program, stands in opposition to the beliefs and concerns of “Leave” voters in general and Farage’s UKIP in particular. Clement reportedly characterized the Brexit vote and result as a “magnificent exercise in democracy”, although you can bet that no prominent Canadian Conservative would support the notion that Canadians should have the right to magnificently vote directly in a referendum on thorny issues like free trade or mass immigration”

Truer words have never been written about the sad state of Canadian Conservatives today.

    • I read that comment by Argyle, it was you say an excellent summation of the current state of play.

      • Alain

Yes, one of the best ones.

    • Alain

What a great opportunity for a true nationalist conservative party. Sadly we don’t have one.

        What’s it going to take?

        • lolwut?

if the Liberals keep up with their Muslim flood…..

I’m too busy raising my family.

          • lolwut?

A fight is coming and can’t be avoided.

If you have a family to take care of then you still have to prepare
the younger ones for what’s coming.

            I’m trying.
Girl who lives with us got a job offer from a muslim to work in small town Saskatchewan for three months.
She was smart enough to tell him to fuck off.
I told her after the fact that he was trying to capture her into prostitution.
I never would have let her leave.
            No, I don’t own her.
I’m just watching out for her for her father.
            Although, for not much longer.

  • dance…dancetotheradio

Trudeau is afraid that he’s going to cause a referendum of his own.
And no I don’t believe it will be Quebec this time.

  • Spatchcocked

Now is the time to demand referendums….THEY are on the ropes back pedalling ….they can’t very well refuse as though we’re not as worthy as the Brits to decide how we want to fashion our democracy.
Jesus I wish we had a real media in this Corruptocracy…….
