Banned in London

Sadiq Khan’s advert ban shows he is an illiberal censor at heart

Six weeks ago I was one of the 1.3 million Londoners who voted for Sadiq Khan as mayor. Boy do I regret it now. Because he’s just shown what he really thinks of us inhabitants of the capital: that we’re so mentally fragile, so pathetic, so vulnerable to the wicked charms of advertisers, that he must censor allegedly sexist ads on our behalf and protect us from offence. In proposing a blanket ban on bus and Tube ads that make people feel bad about their bodies, Sadiq has revealed his authoritarian, paternalistic contempt for the people who swept him to power.

In office barely a month and already he’s trying to turn London into Islamabad.

My first thought about the Taqiyyah for ” feel bad about their bodies ” was to wonder why muslim women in BeeKeeper suits in 90 degree weather infers they feel GOOD about their body as Chattel .

A taqiyyah misogynist jew hating homophobe by an other name …….

Don’t expect the FBi in Florida to get help in the Jihad slaughter at the gay bar .
The photo is a CAIR leaflet handed out to muslims to NOT help the FBI.

Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush had this going on right under their watch in Florida and yet they endorse bring in thousands of undocumented pro-sharia muslims from syria .

Any self-respecting devout muslima should not be outside the house without a male family member escorting her (apparently this is the measure to prevent female heat stroke in Saudi Arabia).

Islamisbad, isn’t that a city in Pakistan, or some where over there.

      • B__2

It should be a popular town name, sprinkled all over the world, that reminds us of the true nature of Islam. Even though ‘San José’ seems to be currently the most popular place name in the world, I wish that ‘Islamisbad’ was similarly popular, although ‘Islamhatesyou’ might be more to the point.

My first thought – likely similar to many readers here – was “you voted for a Muslim, so what did you expect, genius?” But this was followed by something a little more … nuanced: whenever any government decides to try to dictate societal ethical-moral behaviour, the results range from pathetic to plain catastrophic.

Not under sharia law which is next on London’s agenda.

Next items on the agenda for consideration:
      – A ban on ‘bacon cooking smells’ – due to the offence to ‘Jews’ and deference to their dietary restrictions
      – The ban on new pubs, bars, clubs or restaurants that serve alcohol – due to the anti-social nature of drunks
      – The fast-tracking of applications for new mosques – to improve efficiency in town planning
      – An announcement that swimming pools will have their opening hours changed so that 50% of open hours are for ‘women only’, with the remaining 50% for ‘mixed men and women’ bathers – to ensure ‘equal access to council facilities’
      – Subsidisation of every muslim event and closure of council on every muslim holiday – to celebrate multiculturalism
      – Deprecation of any flying of the Union Jack – as a measure of respect for countries once colonised by Britain
      – Halal food only served at council events – again as a multicultural measure
      – Church bells silenced – due to noise laws being strictly enforced
      – Streets around mosques to be shut down and allowed to be used as parking lots during Friday prayers – to ensure pedestrian safety
      – Council-supported ‘safety patrols’ with the power to fine people for public drinking, cigarette smoking – to promote health and safety
      – etc, etc, etc.

All with reasons for implementation, that just so happen to coincide with Shari’a law.

    Well, Duh.

I have no sympathy for the writer. You reap what you sow. Get used to it and suck it up. I do have sympathy for those who did not vote for the POS and yet have to suffer the results.

I’m waiting for buyers remorse in Canada.
Although I kind of agree with Trudeau not paying the ransoms for those hostages he’s given the Conservatives a perfect attack ad for next time.

  • Maggat

Don’t whine about it Brenden, you voted for the man and his sharia policies, that are just down the road, headed in your direction. Tough shit, suck it up, and next time, if there is one, use your GD head.

  • Hard Little Machine

No, it shows he’s a Muslim.

  • Brett_McS

Yeh, the reason a Muslim Mayor bans adverts of skimpily dressed women is .. so fat women don’t feel bad about their bodies. Uh huh.

  • xavier

To reverse Frau Katze’s dictum he’s smart enough to tell us how to live.

Me i’d post even more images of beautiful women and handsome men. Actually Sadiq hates beauty and it’s somtimes playful irreverence

Trump was right he is an idiot.
