Now’s your chance to own a pair of Herman Goering’s Underpants

A pair of underpants once worn by Herman Göring are to go on sale in an auction of Nazi memorabilia in Munich this weekend.

Also on offer are a pair of Hitler’s socks, dresses that belonged to his lover Eva Braun, and a case claimed to have contained the cyanide capsule with which Göring committed suicide the night before he was due to be hanged in 1946.

The sale has been condemned by Jewish groups, and the mayor of Munich has appealed to the auction house to stop it.

Göring’s underpants, in silk with a blue HG monogram, are offered at a reserve price of €500 (£400).

      …. figures…

Martin Bormann, who controlled access to Hitler, seized upon it as evidence of ‘treason’ and Göring’s attempt to launch a coup d’etat.

      • The underwear?

          Those two never got along..

    What size?
Are we talking a svelt and trim 1936 Herman Goring, or his more late-70’s Elvis look that he was rocking in 1945?

Ewww … have all the items been sterilized? Even if they have been washed in bleach a hundred times I wouldn’t want to touch them.
“Devotional objects” – the Germans really are a bunch of kinky sickos.

Unpick part of the monogram and they could be used by “HC”, but she may prefer “HRC”.
