Nothing to do with Islam

NYT’s Predictable Reaction to Islamic Terrorism: Gun-Control Advocacy, Accusations of Anti-Muslim ‘Demagogic Politics’

Monday’s New York Times reacted to the Islamic terror massacre in Orlando in predictable fashion, with muted gun control editorials in its news reports and warnings to Donald Trump not to “demagogue” the issue of radical Islam. Omar Mateen, who claimed loyalty to ISIS and went on a rampage at a gay nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people and injuring scores of others, declared allegiance to the Islamic State in a 911 call. Yet beyond the accurate front-page stories, some Times reporters did their best to downplay the Islam angle.

Sebastian Gorka appeared on Fox yesterday and pointed out there are many ways other than firearms to murder; including using your F-150 truck to run down infidels as suggested by the jihad magazine Inspire.

    …NYPD now handcuffed
New Settlement Protects American Muslims From NYPD Surveillance,

  • Okay….

The same guy who simply didn’t care about post-modern Western social mores would have obeyed gun laws.

    • BillyHW

      It was a gun-free zone.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

That’s a bit of a red herring BillyHW.
How many guns do you want in a bar fight?

      • That might explain the body count.

  • Alain

May a thousand jihadists descend on the the NYT and all their fellow travellers. They do not deserve protection or being saved, especially since they endanger the lives of so many innocent people.

  • Norman_In_New_York

Trump may give the Times the Washington Post treatment and no one will miss that paper.

Back in the old days, sometimes we would go downtown in Winnipeg to get the week old edition of the New York Times.
It was huge and expensive and exotic.
Now it is none of those things.

      • Justin St.Denis

I think it is still kind of “exotic” as in “totally unglued”. 😉

Got the phone interview for the northern job tomorrow.
Me and one other guy from our training class.

          • Justin St.Denis

I’m pulling for you, Dance! It’s 4:40 a.m. in SW Ontario. I’ll even say a few prayers.

GOOD LUCK! Tell us how it goes…….

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Me and the other guy.
            Same seniority.
            Technical interview, about ten questions.
The job is at the northern station and I’ve been working in the southern station for three years whereas the other guy only did a training stint for five months over three years ago.
I’ll find out next week if I got it.
Meantime, it’s payday tomorrow and I’m going to have a few beers this weekend and start figuring out what I’m going to take with me.

    Watching CNN.
You can tell Anderson Cooper thinks he was born to report on this story.

    • Daviddowntown

I make a habit of not watching cnn for any extended period but when surfing by I notice that tea bagger cooper looks more debauched each time I see him. I would guess that the sodomy is getting to him, her, it.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

I only watch CNN on the TV beside my computer when something big is going on. I’ll already have the truth on my monitor and I want to see how they spin their crap.

  • BillyHW

The Left is imploding on gun-control as a response to terrorism and the whole transgender bullshit. It’s so fun to watch.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

It’s actually more fun to watch the lights go on in people’s heads as they realize what side their bread is really buttered on.
And I’m not going to say to them I told you so.
      Just come on in.
      It’s about fucking time.

      • Justin St.Denis

      • Clink9

Out with friends last night for beer and wings. One of them says ” I just heard they throw gays off buildings over there?”.

        Why yes, yes they do.

    • Exactly.

I keep saying watch the train wreck.

  • jack burns

Shows you just how bad they want the 2nd Amendment rescinded and that is the reason that it exists, to frustrate tyrants.
